peripheral vestibular syndrome it says underactive thyroid |
So I've been giving Bella lactalous and clavamox for almost a week now and there's been no difference..maybe even worst. Would you say it's safe to stop it until I see the neurologist? |

That's what the husband thought as well. We're traveling to Fresno, CA (about 7-8 hours) tomorrow and since lactalous is a form of laxative, I don't think she'll make it in the car. I haven't called Dr. Centers either. It's been a busy and stressed out week for me. I wouldn't know what to ask her since she would actually have to see my dog to tell me things about her. I don't know. I'm also worried since I'm attending a wedding this weekend in Fresno and I'll have to leave her all by herself in the hotel. So many things to do.:( |

What did olga say about the videos as she has fostered alot of mvd/liver shunt dogs? |
also i would not leave her alone in a strange place with no one in room right now with her health being so fragile. I would recommend taking a family member with you she likes and have them stay with her while you are at the wedding oh and i called my friend with AAI dog as she went through all the neurological testing for kiara, aai, gme, etc and she said the cry and laying on belly her guess is it was a seizure :( Is your dog having any pain in the neck area like she is sensitive to touch in neck area as that is real important to know as well? |
Did your vet ever xray her neck area? |

I am sorry she is having such a hard time. |
Prior to head tilt were ears cleaned at a groomers or plucked or anything like that ? any ear infections prior? |
Did Bella have a thyroid panel done, simple and reasonably priced...you should have this checked. Prayers to you all...waiting to hear what the neurologist says. Remember to keep her calm, no jumping or running okay? My concern is her neck...keep her safe from harm, do not leave her alone. |

The vet didn't do anything on the thyroid, but I'm going to mention that to the neurologist nor did they xray her neck. I felt like they were leaving out alot of things. When I first took Bella in, I mentioned I was scared she might have had a stroke because even now, looking at the symptoms, they also add up. Well, all the vet said was that she was too young to have a stroke and a 1% chance of having it. Is there any way to show if she did though? Olga sent me an email a couple days ago with her number if I wanted to call and for me to have Bella's bloodwork with me. That was when I didn't have it yet and it's been crazy for me since then so I had no time to call. I've also been feeling Bella around the neck, back, legs..basically everywhere to see if she had pain but there was no response from her. Bella doesn't really have hair in her ears so she doesn't get it pluck and I don't remember the last time I cleaned her ears. No ear infections or anything before the head tilt (that I know of). |
