For the first few pages, everyone only gave very helpful advice. When the OP did not update (which is actually a pattern in a few of her other posts), people became frustrated.

It's not like the OP was making a quilt and screwed up the pattern. She irresponsibly bred pups that led to death. How is she different from a BYB (and I'm not actually being snarky here, I am actually asking a genuine question)?

There's no need to attack others' opinions and advice (from both sides, really). The OP put herself out there, asked a question and got many very honest answers. To be frank, if she can't handle a little fire from an ON-LINE forum, then what on Earth made her think she could breed puppies? She should feel bad. She should feel guilty.

It's frustrating because I waited several years before getting Addie, and I got her as a rehome. But I made darn sure I could afford her apartment cost, spay and all other possible medical bills before I took her as mine. Nothing would make me feel worse than taking in a cute little pup knowing I couldn't afford her if she was hurt and then she got hurt and died. That would be completely on me. It would be my fault that pup died, just like this situation is completely on the shoulders of the OP.

And really, who types on the computer to ask for advice when one of your pups is moaning in pain? I love this forum, and I trust the advice I get, but if I have a major problem, I call the ER vet first. Later when the problem is resolving I can update everyone on YT, so I can get additional advice and maybe give someone else information on how to act in a similar situation.

We should reward responsibility and scold irresponsibility. She's not a five-year-old who accidentally spilt milk on the carpet. She is capable of making logical decisions and failed this time. It would have been great if the OP hadn't had to learn this lesson with the death of innocent creatures, but that's unfortunately not how it happened.

As a non-breeder and with several friends heavily involved in rescues, it saddens me greatly to hear this situation. And I just don't think I will ever understand those who think breeding is a great way to make some cash.

I really don't think anyone who commented to the OP didn't have the pups' best interests at heart first. That's why the debate got heated. That's why everyone is so emotional, and I really can't blame them.

I can just hope the OP has her baby spayed (assuming she's still alive), and that others who think breeding is a get-rich-quick scheme stumble across this thread and realise just what it could cost.

I have never been one to punch someone when they are down and 90% of the people here on YT are the same and all along we have said it was not the time to act so heartless. You're from Texas too.

You mentioned why was she typing when her dog was so ill. The forum we are on is called "Sick & Injured/Energencies Talk" She may not have had the money for a vet and bless you if that has never happened to you. A few did offer that good advise to get her dog there.

90% of YT help and are great but the 10%, I can't deal with anymore and I am off this site as well. Admin pls list me as not a member.

I really do feel like everyone put their heart out there to give advice in their own way. And there was a lot of great advice given (although, I do feel like in this case it was common sense to run to the vet immediately). Some feel the advice given was heartless, but if the members were really heartless, they would have just laughed or just said "Eh, it happens."

There was no judgement in the beginning only very helpful advice. Like I said earlier, though, emotions run high, especially when it come to these little darlings.

I realise it's the "Sick & Injured/Emergencies Talk" part of the forum, but I do believe when one of your pups has died the day before and the rest are deathly sick, you get past the point of Internet help.

It's like if I accidentally cut my whole arm off. I probably would call 911 and not type (one-handed) about my woes and ask what I should do.

And I really think the important thing here is to learn from the OP's tragic mistake. If you're not 100% sure you can take care of your pup when breeding, then don't breed. I don't think I'm going to get in a car accident, but I still have insurance because you just never know.

I am sorry you feel you cannot be on this forum anymore. This forum has expanded my knowledge, and I feel Addie's life is better for it, as is mine.

Oh, and this may just be me being dense ... but what does me being from Texas mean?
