| He is still in the hospital. yesterday he ate and this morning. then he was taken off the iv and drip to see if his sugar stayed and he stopped eating again and his sugar was low so they are keeping him again. i just called at 9:15pm and he still has not eaten and had a couple of bowel movements and very loose. I dont know what to do? this is the third night there and i wish they had an answer for me if he is going to get better. vet bill so far is 1500 and that is crazy enough and he is still sick. he is really tiny and only 15oz at 9 1/2 weeks. I went to visit him today and he look just OK. not real weak but not jumping around. I brought them more of the Filet steak Cesear food. I thought maybe and was hoping that he is just a picky eater but still not eating again. ??? dont know what to do? and i dont know how much longer i could keep him there bills are piling up |

| Maybe they should put a tube in his stomach and start feeding him that way. That's what they do to humans so why not dogs? I'm praying for you both! So sorry that your vet isn't sure on reasons. (((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))

| I am so sorry. What about feeding him from a syringe pureed puppy food with formula? My thoughts and prayers are with you and your little one. |

| My little guy was 1.1lbs and he too needed an ultrasound and they were able to do it. Maybe try a specialist.

| Guardia is hard to detect sometimes. My little guy was being treated with Albon for coccida and then after 2 weeks of treatment he got real sick. They also checked him for Guardia and it was negative but the third sample finally showed it and he was then treated for about a month with Flagyl and is doing much better now. I know this is hard I too spent a lot to get him well but it is sure worth it in the end. Hang in there.

| Your Welcome. I just hope they can figure it out soon and your baby can be back home with you where he belongs. My baby was sick over the July 4th weekend and the 24hr vet wasn't much help because they said they couldn't send the stool out until after the weekend so it wasn't until I brought him back to my vet that it was detected. I have four yorkies and it never fails it is always when my vet is closed that they get sick. Go figure
