yes low in fat and low in protein and easily digestible protein due to it being hydrolized

once a dog has it they can easily get it again so yes my dex has not had an episode in 3 years but diet is real key - low fat

my girlfriends dog has been on solid golds holistique blend low fat dog food it is only 6% fat and I think the protein is low as well

Joey can't have more than 22% protein while his BAT is normal, but ideally I think more like 18% to be on the safe side. Do you know the protein content? Is that food over the counter?

I will pm you with my address if you would do that and let me know how much it is to ship. I am really starting to freak out today. He won't eat! He is taking a few pieces of kibble. He will eat cottage cheese, but he can't live on that and it's too much protein for his liver. He will eat sweet potatoes and peas, but he needs a balanced diet. I really would like to try my dog food options before I start homecooking. I have one daughter who is vegan and another who is on a special diet and I already cook three different meals daily for those two.

Bailey has Chronic Pancreatitis and IBD too, I HIGHLY reccommend using Susan Davis too! I know you've probably spent a lot of money so far at the vet, but if you can bite the bullet and do a phone consult with Susan, your baby will be feeling better within days!!! It's the only thing that got Bailey better! Diet is so very important with Pancreatitis issues!!! I will never regret it and I don't think anyone that has used her has regretted it! Please keep us updated on your baby's status! xxxxx and prayers!

the only prob i have with susan is she uses white potato in diets for ibd dogs which is an inflammatory food and dogs with ibd in small intestines like mine cannot tolerate white potato and then it affects the pancreas thus causing a pancreatic attack as small intestines is right next to pancreas. My dex cannot eat any diets with white potato in it at all or he starts violently vomitting

Once Debbie sends you out the sample of the Purina HA and if your baby eats it let me know as I have almost an entire bag that Izzy won't touch and I hate to toss it since I just opened it.

Debbie if she can't use it I'll send that bag to you and Dex...lol.

Bailey is not on any white potato at all. She told me to stay away from white potato. He's on Natural Balance Fish and Sweet potato...

that is great news as was reading some posts where she had been saying white potato with ibd dogs and i freaked as that is the worst thing you can feed them so that is great she said no white potato for your baby
