| Teeth My yorkie, Connor is 7 months old. He has two sets of teeth, his adult and baby teeth. The vet said this is strange and if the babies don't fall out soon he will have to pull them out. Has anyone had this done? How much did it cost? |

| I think it is pretty common for Yorkies to not lose their baby teeth. My Maggie lost all but one and she had to have the vet put her under and pull that last darn tooth out.

| It is quite common in yorkies. I just had Coco, and Pebbles done a few weks ago. It was $10 per tooth plus anesthesia. Came to about $120 or so per dog. Usually they are done when they get spayed or neutered, but at the time I had mine done their adult teeth hadn't come in yet.

| Nylabone Try a nylabone 1st. My baby girl had 2 sets so I made the appt for removal, before the appt I noticed now there are only 3 then 2 and now only 1. She chews on those nylabones constantly both the hard one and the puppy one. I'm not sure wich one is responsible maybe both but they work so hopefully the last one will come out soon too. |

| Hmmm no disrepect meant but I would question a vet that doesn't know this is very common in toy breeds and especially in Yorkies. Most people have them removed when they neuter their pet as Yorkies should never be put under to many times. This is also a great time to have your puppy micro-chipped if you are going to do this. Cost is all over the board for this in different towns or states.

| Hello, My Kona is 10 months old next week and he still has almost all of his baby teeth intact. He is being neutered tomorrow so we are taking them all out. He has about 12 as of last count last week. he also had his blood work done and he seems to be ok internally. With just the tooth extraction and supposedly extra anaesthesia ( they figured another extra 30 minutes) and assuming it's only 12 and not more when they see him tomorrow. We are looking at almost $ 300.00 for the teeth alone. I am in California and I think we are more expensive here too. Please pray for my little boy, we got him about 4 months ago when he was already 6 months old, and he only had about 3 teeth fell out that we saw. |

| Bella is 8 months old and will be getting spayed and having 8 teeth pulled on the 27th. I believe for both they said it was going to be around $700.00.

| Are you kidding? $700.00 that's way out of line. I just had knee surgery on my male and it was only $260.00 for the knee and neuter. |

| We got Bandit neutered around 7 months and had 8 teeth pulled and it was $680, but I wasn't a huge fan of the vet. We have a new amazing vet who we love and are getting Nala spayed in September or October (6 or 7 months depending on her teeth) and with laser surgery it will be about $550. She hates me looking in her mouth so I'm having trouble seeing how many teeth she lost already. |

| My vet said about the baby teeth too, and he would do it when neutering... Question.... and if this is dumb I apoloize, but since Shay is not running the neighborhood...no other dog in household, should I have him neutered? and my dream would be to find someone with a female, and maybe mate them, and be able to have one of his puppies. pipe dream most likely..lol..but seriously I would love some feed back |
