				   | I have tried the ginger in her food....ginger snap cookies and children's Benedryl. I even asked my vet what to give her for it and she suggested giving Daisy Mae 1/4 of a Benedryl tablet 1 hr before we leave. Nothing worked!!!! Grrrrrr I hate when she gets sick. Makes me feel bad. I will ask my vet about Cerenia and see how she feels about it.Thanks all, ~Kathy

				   | Max (chi-terrier mix) gets HORRIBLE panic attacks whenever we go somewhere. No more than 20 minutes in the car and he's had it. I was seriously dreading a 9 hour drive to Colorado when we moved! My vet suggested giving him Dramamine. For him, it works. But I would definetly consult with your vet, as this is a common issue among a lot of owners.

				   | If I made the cookies I would not use anything like artifical sweetner. I don't know if this will help, but, Kayla use to throw up everytime we went to the vets. I took her out of her kennel and let her ride in front with me with her leash on and I just hold to her and every since then she has never thrown up again. Tina, (toy schnauzer) never throws up. My husband took them to the vets and put both Tina and Kayla in a large crate and they both threw up. Sooooo, go figure. Maybe being enclosed in the crate has something to do with it. |

				   | Suzi use to become sick each and every time in the car, as a puppy! I felt so bad for her . As she became older, the carsickness went away! She still hates the car though. She will pant ral hard and shake. However, then calms down. i hope your puppy will grow out of getting sick too. What I have heard is if you but a car seat for dogs, something like a booster seat, that allows the dog to look out the window, it often helps calm them down, + prevents them from getting carsick.

It is not to be used in dogs with liver disease so please make sure to have liver tested in all maltese and yorkies since liver disease is so prevalent prior to doing any drugs in them | |

				   | I tried things like ginger snaps, but they didn't work. The vet had me take her on very short car trips. I mean like 1/4 mile a few times a day. As time went by, I increased the distance. The farthest she's gone is about 15 miles away. She loves going in the car now. |
