				   | I should of told them DONT listen to these vets... i should of done more said more... but they were so worried and i wanted to reassure them - make them feel better - make them feel they were doing the right thing - they listened to 2 vets... were going for a 2nd opinion. They were so hopeful. I knew in my heart - i repeated what these threads said.... i should of been more stern. I have never heard such hysterical sobs in my life as i just did 10 minutes ago...... Maybe this thread will save someone else's heart break... what can i say to them - how can i make them feel better - i am at such a lose for words |

As far as your son goes, I think yorkiesmiles is right- give him space and some time. He needs to curl up and cry, and probably sleep 24hrs. I think you should go over there tomorrow and make them or take them to a nice dinner. I can't even imagine how they feel.. Please don't beat yourself up about this. You did what you could do. If it was your puppy it would have been taken in. But it wasn't and he's in heaven now Hugs from me and my boys..

				   | First off I am so sorry that Carter passed away. This is in no way anything but a Tragic accident! You did a wonderful job relaying info and your son and his girlfriend kept trying to find a Vet. Now that said, I would report so-called Vet # 1. Whether she was closed for the day or not, she should've checked that 1 lb. baby out!! I don't know what she was thinking, But, I would report her to the State!!!! Please just be there for your son and when he's ready to talk he will. Children always need their parents. Your'e all in my Thoughts and Prayers, ![]() R.I.P. Carter

				   | I was waiting all night to hear about this little babay. I am just now catching up and seen what happened. i am very , very sorry . YES this is a tragic accident, and everyone did the best they could. even if CArter made it to A emergency vet his injuries were too severe for him to recover. These are very tiny, fragile babies, and my heart aches for your son and family. He has your support and this is what he needs right now. He needs time to grieve as with the rest of the family. My thoughts are with you and again I am so very , very sorry.

				   | I am so sorry to read this, I know your heart is breaking, as is your sons and his girlfriends, and I'm sure grandpa is upset as well. Things happen, and nothing can be done about it now. I can't believe those vets, makes me love my vet that much more, as she has told me if I ever need her anytime day or night, not to ever hesitate calling. Just be there for your son, I'm sure he's going to have some very hard days. |

				   | Oh my goodness. I was thinking of your little guy all night. I am so very sorry this happened to your family. I just can't imagine what a heartbreak this must be. Poor, Grandpa, please tell him this was not his fault. It was a horrific accident. I don't care if you have these babies for 1 minute or a lifetime, they do something to you. I pray that the lord gives your family strength to deal with this tragic loss. Bless your little angel. He certainly won't be forgotten. ![]() Let this be a reminder for all of us...these guys are sooo fragile. COCO PEBBLES TRIXIE |

				   | I am so very sorry to hear of your (and your son's) loss. We lost our 17 week old puppy the day after Christmas when she choked on a piece of candy she found. Accidents are horrible tragedies, and are just that: accidents. We need to do our best to prevent them, and to protect our little ones, but despite our best efforts, they do happen. I know, as I am living through it, the guilt and sadness that go along with this. Time alone will help heal. Blessings to all of you. |

				   | I have been thinking about Carter since last night when I read your post. I couldn't wait for an update, and I was so happy when I got to your first post...and of course, so sad when I read the next one. Poor little guy! I am so sorry to hear what happened to little Carter. As the others have said, it truly is an unfortunate accident. They can happen so easily. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Your poor son...we grow to love our little Yorkies so quickly - they are just bundles of joy! I'm sorry for the pain you are going through. I do hope something can be done about or said to that first vet. How could someone who has chosen this profession ignore an emergency like that? |
