I agree with the other posters that she needs care NOW.

$25.00 is pretty cheap for after hr. care. They wanted to charge me $85.00 just to come in on a emergency basis.

You and your family are in my prayers tonight. Please keep us updated about the little guy...I would be taking the little one to the ER asap. These little guys can go into shock so quickly. Please take care

I understand things are hard for people right now but at this point WHO CARES how much the fee is!!! But I agree, $25 and even $85 are super cheap afterhours fees. God I hope they get this puppy in.....

Yes, I agree. I am hoping this family does everything they can to save this precious little Yorkie baby.

I am so sorry this happened! I can't imagine how you all must be feeling. I am so angry (and saddened) that the vet you went to treated you and your poor baby in such a horrible way .

I really can't understand why the second vet wouldn't recommended a ER hospital and overnight stay. This was a serious injury and I think it is wrong that they(the vet staff) did not either keep him overnight or send you somewhere where they could keep him and monitor him, especially given the fact that he had bleeding from the nose and had stopped breathing.

If there is one nearby I would take him to an emergency hospital that can provide round the clock monitoring of the little guy. If there is none around then just do whatever the vet recommended and I will be praying for you all.

I agree. PLEASE FIND HIM AN EMERGENCY VET that will keep and monitor him through the night. I'm sick for this poor pup. Accidents happen and I'm sorry for your son and his grandfather. I'm sure grandpa feels terrible. PLEASE keep looking for a vet that will keep him round the clock. Elaine

So this pup got stepped on hard enough for blood to be coming out of it's mouth and nose, for it to stop breathing, for his heart to go faint, for his head to flop back and for him to have a seizure and the vet didn't recommend 24 hour care?

I'm not sure how much good diagnostics would do at this point, especially tonight because even if the pup had a diagnosis, I'm not sure they're be any real treatment, however, this pup needs to go to a 24 hour emergency hospital staffed with a vet immediately. It is nice for the breeder to come over but it really is not the time for that. The breeder is not a vet nor are the owners of this puppy. I know you'd like to see them go back to the vet, so this isn't helping any but I think that is the only thing we can recommend.

This pup's life is still in extreme danger and the best place for him to be is with a vet.

Thank You. that makes sense. i just texted him your info because he is not answering his phone! I think the breeder must be there now. He is only 30 minutes from me so i am headed over... There is a big snow storm headed this way - may be i will be spending the night... really thank you!! He seems to be trusting this one vets assessment!! which i am hearing from everyone is not a great idea!!!

Please drive safe. Remember your son is probably in shock as well so probably isn't thinking as clearly as we can about this. I can't even imagine the adreneline levels they were facing.

Please don't forget to update us! We all really care about these babies, even if they aren't our own. Good luck.

omg that is so scary! im so sorry for the little guy and your whole family.. this really is tragic. i agree with everyone else though.. i cant believe those vets wouldnt do more for him when he was clearly in such bad shape. i would try to find the nearest 24 hour emergency clinic and take him there. anything could happen overnight and that would be the best way to be sure he would be properly cared for if something were to go wrong.

I'll also be praying for this precious baby and all his loved ones. It is so hard to believe that the first vet sent them away. I just can't imagine a vet being so heartless!
