| ![]() Well we have since been trying to get in contact with the company and it seems as if they are ignoring us. We were in contact with an HR person and she would call at the worst times (during work hours after we told her we can not get personal calls at work etc.) We even left her a message with an email address and she refused to email us. Then right before the holidays we stopped receiving calls from her and no contact has been made. I was SO frustrated today that I sent out a "comment" on their site since this seems to be the only way to make contact with anyone. ![]() |

| ![]() What a nightmare to have to go through! Thankfully, your Gracie is going to be just fine! I'd definately keep on the company who makes those toys! ![]()

| ![]() I joined this forum after a quick search on google. My 4yr old Basenji was just released today from the vet after she managed to destroy and ingest a piece of the rubber Kong she was given for Christmas. The worst part was she was vomitting and lathargic for a week as the vet could not figure out what was wrong, as the Kong was not detected in x-ray results, it was only after an ultrasound almost 7 dyas later that it was detected and removed by surgery. This toy is misleading, esp due to the fact that they encourage you to baste it in Peanut Butter and other treats, masking it as a digestible treat to the pet. My final bill is $1800, and I am about to engage in a massive media awareness blitz, as well as seeking full compensation from the company for reimbursement for my vet bills, and the value of the toy. Please let me know what action you receive. I think this is a far more common problem than most think, and it is blatantly misleading. Not only the vets, but every other dog owner I speak with assumes that the toy is 1) Indestructible and 2) promoted as the safest. Sincerely, Kong Anonymous |

| ![]() I can not believe that I have never heard of these things happening before all this. I definitely thing that people need to understand the dangers of these toys. Too many people leave their dogs with these toys alone while they are gone. |

| ![]() I also had the Kong Wubba and within 5 minutes of playing with it the seam was already shredding. This is very scary because just last week Bella ate something and had to have surgery to remove it We could not tell what it was but it is very hard to find any toys that are safe or that will last. |

OH NO! I hope Bella is recovering well. We spend SO much money on toys because they only last a few days (or hours). | |

| ![]() I am so glad to hear she is doing ok. We have had tow kong wubba's since this summer plus just added the new snuggle Wubba. We have not had any problems with the original Wunna's but Buddy got the snuggle wubba apart quickly, it is to much like a stuffed animal.

| ![]() Wow! I'm so sorry to hear about Gracie, but I'm glad to hear she is doing okay now. You do typically think of Kongs as being "safe." Rory loves her Kong Wubba and always just liked to run around with it in her mouth shaking it (made a weird noise like a flag flapping in the breeze that she seemed to like). We recently adopted another yorkie and she picked up the toy and started chewing on it and almost got one of the pieces off of the bottom off - I can see how quickly and easily this could have happened. I hope you are able to actually get in touch with someone and get this settled.

| ![]() Last week I sent off a package to the Kong company for investigation. They asked for a bunch of information and are sending it to a private company that reviews complaints etc. They said it could take up to 6-8 weeks or longer to get a response from them so who knows where that leaves us and all the other dogs who may be choking on this same toy. It is just sad to me that they seem to have brushed it off. Gracie will never be allowed Kong toys again if I have any say about it! |

| ![]() I'm sorry this happened to Gracie, with that said I have had the wubbas (2) for about 2 years and mine haven't had a problem with them, we have kongs also ..no problem.. Now loofas (NOT MADE BY KONG)yes they have come apart very easily. My two are not heavy chewers. It is my opinion that all toys can be hazardous and should be supervised . |

| ![]() Oh no! hope gracie is doing better! I had just bought one for my little guy and he already chewed through the ball part so i had to toss it! He is a big chewer and ruins everything he get his little teeth on. I have even tried the Kong for strong chewers and he already had chewed off a chunk of that one 9 dollars later and 1 hr after him getting ahold of it I had to toss it. What toys do you all let your babies that are strong chewers use ![]()

| ![]() I bought Tricksie a lot of Kong toys and within 5 mins. her teeth went through the rubber and I threw them away. She has had the Wuba for a long time, no problem but she didn't care for it.

| ![]() I sure hope your little one comes through this okay. We'll say a little yorkie prayer for her. My girls have a Kong Wubba. I just checked it out, and it seems to be holding together fine. Glad to have the "heads up" on it though. I thought because it was a Kong, that it would be a safe choice for heavy duty chewers. ![]()
