DH took my car to work tonight and I" have no way to even take him to a vet till he gets home after 10 am.....i don't know what to do for him? I am kinda freaking out here. he's just so slow at everything even the walking he is just sitting there all curled up and i can see his back end shake I don't know what to do please someone talk about what to do for him....it's almost 4 am and i am lost with all the knowledge i have ever read to help him.... |

| Oh my goodness... I wish I had some wisdom to offer you, but the only thing I can think of is that he may have gotten into something he shouldn't have??? Maybe try calling a local ER and see what they say? Depending on what they tell you, I think I'd be calling hubby home from work with the car or contacting a family member / friend / taxi for a dash to the ER.... I'll say some extra prayers for you and sweet Koda!! <<big hugs>> Keep us posted!

| It really does sound to me like he's gotten into something.... causing affects of some toxin.... I'd call your husband home if I were you. Call your vet at home... see if he thinks you should meet him at the clinic. Minutes count if he's swallowed something toxic.... (really not trying to scare you, I'm just worried for Koda)...

| Why don't you try calling the National Animal Poison Control Center and tell them Koda's symptoms... they might be able to at least direct you as to what to do... 888-426-4435 I meant to add that I believe they charge a 60.00 consultation fee via credit card when you call....

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I would call the closest 24-hour emergency vet you can find, even if it's out of state. Explain to them that you're unable to bring him in, and ask for their advice over the phone. This sounds serious. If you have any idea what your pup could have gotten into, you can also call the ASPCA National Animal Control Poison Center. They likely will charge you a consultation fee, but they might be able to help if you have any idea if he ate anything bad. 888-426-4435 (24-hour hot line) Good luck. (Oh, I see momtobabynatalie had the same advice.)

| Does he have a high temperature? A normal heart rate for an adult Yorkie should be between 120 and 160 bpm -

| Just came across this thread and saw the pics of your baby. I agree that someting is wrong. I'm hoping you can find someone help you get him to a vet. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know how you make out. We are all concerned - for both of you.

| Hope you have contacted the vet and are on your way there already. I'm praying for Koda that you can get him help soon. Might help if you can save contents of what he throws up in a baggie & take with you, as well as any stool samples he has recently passed. Good luck.
