| Wow, the amount of wonderful information that I see consistently on YT is absolutely amazing! I am so thankful that we have such knowledgeable individuals here to help when we have a problem. I'll be watching this thread to see what the Vet has to say about Charlie. |

| The Natures Variety (vegetarian) like someone said would probably be fine until you find out what is going on. One of my schnauzers has kidney problems and she eats that and Inovia ( low protein) instead of the prescription diets the vets put them on. I absolutely hate Science Diet so I was glad N.V. put out a vegetarian diet. Hope that baby feels better soon and its nothing serious. |

| Definitely follow your vets advice. Get him in there, they'll take it from there Try not to get worried, you don't need others telling you what to test for. The vet will do a chemistry blood panel likely and he'll decide what to test for from there. I hope everything goes well at the vets. |

| Update! So the night before last I took away the kibble and have just been feeding Charlie NV Raw, he did fine that night, all day yesterday, and fine this morning, hasn't vomitted! I am still taking him to the vet, just to see if there is anything going on! |

| That's great news. I'm glad he's feeling better. The vet can give you advise on food and such if nothing else. |

| I just saw this thread. I'm glad Charlie seems to be doing better. I'll be waiting to hear what your vet has to say. Yorkies are 36 times more likely to have a liver shunt than all other breeds combined, so when a yorkies starts showing symptoms like these, LS is always in the back of my mind.

| I"m just now seeing this thread. I'm so sorry you are all going through this, but you're making the right decision to get him checked out. Sending positive vibes and prayers your way. Kiss your little furbaby for me.

| UPDATE!!!! Really shaky, wobbly..Charlie is sick!! Okay, finally I have an update on Charlie, sorry it has taken so long. Anyway, I took Charlie to the vet, for those that followed this thread you know Charlie was very unstable and sick the night he ate the steak. Well forward 2-3 weeks he ate something outside that he got in his little mouth and was sick again, but this time I had already made an appt with the vet and he got sick the day of the appt. Perfect, now they could see his symptons first hand. So they thought he had pancreatitis, so they tested for it and it came back negative, still concerned that there may be something going on I requsted a full blood panel, it came back normal, nothing!!! It seems he just has a very sensitive tummy, now for the clentcher.....I had a sample of his vomit, took it in the day we were there, it seems Charlie ate "Marijuana", hello....what?? It smelled like it, and looked like it and the vet was pretty sure that was what he ate and made him sick, good thing he threw it up!!! So where did it come from??? All I know is he was fine in the morning when I left, he stays in the crate while I am gone. The only thing I could think of is he picked it up during his walk that afternoon!! Boy was I po'd that stuff was so easy for my dog to get a hold of what about my kids?? I need to really watch him 24/7 on walks from now on, can you believe this?? He is better now, they gave him "Majic Pink Stuff" I guess like pepto, and some antibiotics back to his normal self again!

| Oh wow! I'm glad he's okay now, but I would be FREAKING out wondering where the heck it came from! Have you walked the route you took to see if maybe a plant is growing there or something? Did someone give him any new treats lately? Is it a new car or apartment? The reason I ask is that a friend of mine bought a new used car and she found a bag of drugs tucked under one of the seats! One other idea. Your local police might have a drug dog. You could call and talk to them about having the drug dog come sniff your apartment, car and walking route. I would just be worried about him getting into more of it if you don't know where it came from. Wow! Give that boy a hug for me!

| I am going to keep a close eye out on the neighborhood. I own my home and we live in a very nice family friendly area. All the kids play and ride their bikes together and we moms keep an eye out for all the kids, they will be stunned to hear about this. My hope is that it isn't anyone around here and maybe someone who was walking through dropped it or something. We do know that it was the steak that made him sick three weeks ago. As far as the "pot" goes it was a good thing he had thrown up on the way to the vet and they got to see it for themselves. The good thing is they said if he had eaten it more than once it would show up in his blood work because it would go into his bloodstream, so they were happy that the results didn't show it at all. They felt he was in the clear because he threw it up!! So happy he did, otherwise my baby could have been worse!!!
