Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | also check for clostridium this is EXACTLY when bella and diggy do when they have upset bellies from the bad bacteria. A fecal exam should show it.

| Thank You, everyone! I am writing all these down to ask the vet! I was so scared when I saw that I started screaming at my hubby, not mad, just panicking like OMG OMG. Squeekie noticed my mood and immediately started shaking and scared and wanted to be hugged. So I calmed down, toned down my voice, and she was fine afterwards. Squeekie was a bit cranky this morning but I think it was because she had dried poop in her butt! So I washed her before heading to the office. She seemed fine, she was walking around like she normally does watching me get ready and she didn't have a fever. I wish my vet has 24/hr service. There is an emergency vet near us but their fees are astronomical! When I took Squeekie there a long time ago for constantly vomiting, they charged me $700 just to get her hydrated and we still had to go to our regular vet in the morning for some meds. | Good luck at the vet. Finger's crossed that it can be corrected on meds. It could be several things since so many stomach problems have the same sympthoms. I am so happy you were about to get a fast appointment. Will look for an update. Hugs, |

| I hope she's alright. I'm sure you'll post when you return from the vet. Please know in the meantime, she is in our prayers.

| thanks guys! I'm at the vet right now, they are doing blood work on her since I'm such an idiot I forgot the stool sample at home! The vet thinks its hge or pancreatitis because of the amount of blood I described to them. I think its bacterial. They wanted to hospitalize her but I said I'll monitor her at home since I know her personality better. Plus she hadn't had her 2nd stool yet from last night. I'll wait for that to see if there are anymore blood and she agreed with me. I feel sorry for her by herself in there because she wouldn't stop shaking or panting, she's so scared of this place she only does it. When she goes here. I called my boss and he gave me the rest of the day off so I can monitor her at home! Last edited by wookie; 06-09-2008 at 11:48 AM. |

| I hope she will be ok. Please let us know. I am glad she seems to be acting fine. But, something is going on, and the faster it is treated the better. |

| If it's HGE you may have to leave her overnight depending on what her packed volume (bloodwork) is. I was able to bring Lady home with her HGE, but I took her to the vet immediately so we caught it really fast. I was able to give her subq fluids myself, but in more advanced cases, an IV is needed. Pancreatitis can also be life threatening. Please listen to your vet. It may be necessary for her to stay overnight. |

| Christine, prayer's are on their way for your baby and you. I do hope she rests more comfortably tonight at home and has a better bowel movement when she does go. Please keep us updated. Hope the blood work shows only something that can be taken care of with meds. |
