| Now the other one has it! Two weeks ago I posted that my dog had diarrhea for 5 days. It cleared up and he has been great. Well here it is 2 weeks later and my other boy has it now, only he seems worse. He is vomitting and has diarrhea. He had it 2x yesterday and threw up once, and during the night last night he had diarrhea once and threw up once. Im at work today unfortunately but I will be taking him to the vet after work today. I gave him only plain yogurt and a tiny bit of food and plenty of fresh water before I left for work. He did drink some water this morning and he is active, but he looked so sad. I seperated my 2 boys from each other today before I left. I split the kitchen into 2 parts so they could not be together. I felt sooo bad doing that but I didnt think it was good for them to be together until I know what is going around my boys. Im so sad for my babies. Say a quick prayer that my Fletch is fine until I get to go home and take him to the vet! please!

| PLEASE say something! Im out of my mind here at work! I don't know why but Im REALLY worried! When Dexter had diarrhea 2 weeks ago I was concerned but not scared .... but for some reason with Fletcher I am WORRIED and SCARED! Fletcher is throwing up also. I wouldn't have gone to work at all if he didnt drink water this morning, but since he was up and drinking water and alert I had to come to work. I love both my babies, but my Fletcher has this little special place in my heart. He is MY baby! Dexter is everyone's baby, hes so tiny and soft and loves to be held that EVERYONE loves him and gives him attention... but my Fletch is curious and so alert and active that he does not get the lovin from others as much as Dex! Please please think about Fletch today, say a small prayer, anything! I want my baby to be healthy & happy!

| I am so sorry to hear about Fletcher not feeling well. We hope you can get him to the vet as soon as you get off work today. They can dehydrate quickly. Do you have a n'bor or friend that can go over and check on them while you are at work? Any chance of getting off work early??? Poor babies...when they don't feel good, it just breaks our hearts! |

| I have NOONE who can check on him during the day I hate that!! I thought and thought about that last night and this morning but everyone i know works full time days too and they all work too far away to be able to make it to my house on a lunch break or something! I am leaving work at 3 to take him to the vet. But that is still 2.5hours away. I left him at 730am and I just feel for some reason that 730am - 330pm is too long to have left him alone today, yet I had no choice! He was drinking water when I left this morning so I PRAY that hes ok. UUUgggghhh it really does break my heart!

| Saying a prayer for both you and your little one! I was in your shoes last week and know how difficult it is having to go to work when your baby is sick

| Oh I'm sorry I can imagine how you are feeling. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's just a momentary passing thing. Big hugs to you all.

| Well I got home from work yesterday to a MESS in the kitchen... diarrhea EVERYWHERE. I took him to the vets for our appt and forgot to bring the sample... but luckily he is a nervous or excited pooper, so he provided them with a sample on the floor while we were there! Anyways, he had a bit of a temp - 103. They said they do not like to see the temp above 102.5 as a high. They did a rectal exam and found red & white blood cells. He is on 2 antibiotics, amoxycilin and I forget the other one but its supposed to help harden his stool and take down inflamation in his colon/intestines. The vet was concerned with him getting dehydrated so they gave him SubQ fluids and sent him home with me. Aside from being tired and medicated he was a happy pup last night. He had a little bit of diarrhea about an hour after we got home, but did not throw up again and no more diarrhea through the night. He is on a bland diet of 4 parts white rice to 1 part boiled turkey burger. Im feeding him only that about a 1/2 a cup twice a day. Hes eating fine and drinking water fine. Im waiting for the vet to call with the results of the stool sample. If its a parasite then my other boy has to go on antibiotics also. Although they do not think it is because my other baby is fine. Thanks for the support! Prayers that I come home today to a much improved healthy dog and a clean kitchen!

| Is it possible that ey have coccidia? I just went through this last week: vomiting, diarrhea which then turned bloody/mucousy. It spreads easily and if one has it most likely the other one does, too. They both should be treated to hopfully break the cycle.A stool specimen should only take a few minutes to give the results if this is what it is. Good luck and I hope your babies are well.

| I dont think so, they are almost 3 years old. But I did get them a stool sample and they didnt get the results back so I wont hear until tomorrow if there are parasites. Kind of bummed!

Thanks for telling me about that though! I had no idea. If the yogurt is not enough I can pick up the other stuff!

| Oh! I somehow didn't see your post yesterday. I know how awful you were feeling when you had to leave him for that long. It's really hard and you worry and feel awful. I hope he is well on his way to recovery now.

| How are things? I would also recommend giving chicken broth - I went thru this a couple mths ago and my vet said this really makes a difference. If you do not make homemade, be sure to buy the low sodium. I also only gave liquids for 2 days - per vet and then the 3rd day feed chicken soup - veggies, chicken and noodles. I think this all helped too
