Judy, I just got home and caught up on the posts and watched your new vid of Bernie walking on all legs! Yay Bernie boy!!

Maybe the time of rest has really helped and, if it's his back, that makes sense. But you are right, it doesn't change anything.

Be careful there little buddy. Just take it slow and easy flot awhile. Tink sends you some nose licks.

Hey! Yes, we are keeping him as calm as possible. He's not actually using leg #4, but he's moving along pretty well anyway.

Hope we can figure out what is going on, but at least my breathing has returned to normal

LOL, he is taking it easy. I'm making sure of that. Since I still have no idea what happened and he still isn't using it, I'm not convinced this is a permanent improvment, but it is nice to see him moving around and out of bed.

I'm hoping for answers tomorrow.

Oh, oops. I better go back and watch that video again. Just seeing him walking was such a surprise. I simply assumed all 4 were on the ground!

Well, after his burst of energy he's just been laying around. He did get up to eat his dinner and go outside, but I think he's done for the night. However, he's much more alert and interested in what is going on than he was. Right now he's snuggled up against me...he and I have always been close, but he seems REALLY attached now.

Well, we are off for more tests/x-rays etc... They want me to leave him for awhile.

I don't know who will be more heartbroken...me or Bernie.

Quick update: He's his usual happy self this am...no use of that back leg though. He's gotten pretty good at movin' around on the other three.
I'm beginning to think it must be either a back problem or a neurological one....what's puzzling is the 2-1/2 days where he didn't want to move at all. That makes me think back. Having seen what dh goes through, this is actually very similar.

I'll post an update when I know more!

Good morning Judy. I've been off the computer since last Fri am and was
so sorry to see this morning that our fellow Teapot Bernie is not feeling
well. I was so happy to see the video where he did walk across the room
pretty fast. I do hope they find out today what's wrong with our friend
and get him fixed up good as new. Hope there is no more surgery for him
though. We pray that meds are all that will be needed.
Feel better real soon Bernie.
