I feel so bad to see that Bernie isn't himself. The videos had me in tears. Poor little sweetheart just lays there...he looks so sad. Sending hugs to you and kisses and get well wishes to Bernie! I will pray for him! Bless his heart!

Connie, thanks for the well wishes. I'm sorry about the tears, I almost didn't post the vids, because they're the kind only a mom (Bernie's mom) would look at...

When I woke up this morning I carried Bernie outside. He went potty (both kinds) which was amazing because last night he just stood their on his 3 legs refusing to move and looking pathetic.

Of course, he hobbled underneath a bush, went potty and then decided not to move anymore. LOL, had me crawling under bushes at 7 in the morning in the snow. But, what a huge improvement from last night!!!!

He also drank water this am, something we couldn't get him to do after we got home from the vets. Yaay Bernie!

He's resting, but keeps trying to resituate himself (again, a lot more movement then last night).

So, thanks again to EVERYONE for all their well wishes. I'm sorry if I didn't respond to each of you personally but each and every one of your comments is cherished.

I will keep you updated.

Thank you so much for the update!! Bernie was on my mind the moment I woke up this AM! Tell him that's a miracle, because usually when I wake up, my brain doesn't catch up until later in the day.

I am so thankful for good news to start my day. I will be praying for his continued improvement.

Good morning and it sounds like there is some improvement, but his eyes look like he is having trouble. Now is when I wish they could talk and say "this hurts, Momma" Your vid was wonderful Judy, and what loving strokes Bernie's Daddy applied to his sweet body. He is so precious, Judy and so is Ginger. Yes, it brought tears but kindness to animals always makes my weepy.

Sending good thoughts for Bernie today and I hope there isn't infection where the pins have been placed. Look forward to improvement today, and we send lots of hugs and kisses to Bernie Buddy. Warmly, Deborah

Hi Bernie my best buddy. Dis is Tink and mama and we pwayed for yu wast night. Mama was cwying and I don't unerstand but now mama says yu are getting a wittle better so dat is bery good Bernie.

Judy, so glad to hear there's some improvement. It was so sweet to hear your husband's voice trying to reassure both himself and you that Bernie is OK. What a caring dad he is.

Now Ginger needs to settle down and let Bernie rest. Send her on up and Tink will keep her busy while Bernie heals.

Hi all! Not much movement since my earlier post. He's just been laying on his bed.

Bettyanne, Thanks so much. I'm still curious to know about symptoms of infection, I keep telling myself that's not what it is since he's eating/drinking and not running a fever. This whole thing has me thrown.

Susie...Ginger would love to come play with Tink! Too bad you're too far away. She's quit hovering over Bernie today, but is just mopin' around the house. I swear if she could be heaving big sighs of boredom she would be.

Deborah, thanks for checkin' in on Bernie. He's baskin' in the hugs and kisses.

4doggiemama, you said it. It is definitely a mite puzzling...I've tried askin' him what's wrong, but he's remaining mute on that topic

The reason I wondered about infection in his pin is that I have had two hip replacements, and that is always a concern. Not sure how it demonstrates, but it can be painful.
