I Called Dr Heitlick And This Is The Latest News Bleu Woke Up Like A Champ From His Anesthesia She Says. He Has Been Fitted For His Cast And She Has Personally Looked At His Images She States There Is Nothing That She Can See With Her Experience And Expertise That Would Keep Them From Going Forward. She Said We Could Visit Bleu At 8 Prep Him At 9 And Surgery 10 Am Tomorrow She Said Last Night She And A Group Of People That Will Be In Surgery Tomorrow Modified Plan A For Bleu For His Specific Little Spine. She Said They Are Using Specific Sqrews Bone Cement And Fusion. She Said She Has His Surgery Already Planned Out. She Said She Is Getting With Her Medstudent Mark To Ride The Radiologists In Regards To Bleus Images And I Will Have A Call From Mark Or Dr Heitlick On The Images Before 5:00 Pm Today... My Fairlacy This Is To You .. I Personally Asked Dr Heitlick If She Performed The Surgery On The Japanese Chin And Asked Her What The Dogs Name Was And She Confirmed Yes She Did It And Yes The Dogs Name Was Heidi.... Im On Cloud 9 Keep The Prayers Coming... Bleu Boys Case Is Going To Be A Masterpiece I Will Be A Voice Along With Many Of You And I Can Be A Support To Others Im So Excited..... |

Daisy I Kid You Not It Is So Funny How You Say That I Was Thinking The Same Exact Thing Earlier Becoming A Advocate For Yorkies In This Part Of Texas.. It Is Something That I Would Really Enjoy Doing And I Feel I Could Help Alot Of People... I Contemplated Writing A Book, Sending A Full Article With Details And Pictures To The Magazine In My Area That Reaches Thousands Of Homes .. I Then Thought Go To OuR Local Newspaper And Write Editorials Strictly On Yorkies I Am Tossing The Idea Around I Actually Was Just On A Rescue Website And Then I Thought Mmm Why Has Someone Not Told Me About Yorkie Rescue Cause I Had No Idea It Even Exisited And I Was Visiting THe Website And I Thought Well With What Im Involved WitH Right Now I Could Not Rescue Especially If The Baby Had Medical Problems As Most Of Them Do I Will Be Praying About What The Lord Leads Me To Do But I Do Know That God Has A Purpose And Plan And Im Glad Im A Part Of It Thank You For Sharing Your Heart Because Earlier Today I Was Going To Post A Thread On If Anyone Knew How To Become A Advocate For Their Community On Yorkies I Would Definitely Specify The Breed And I Thought With All I Have Going On I Better Wait So You Opened The Door And I Walked Right On Through! Vicki, My thoughts and prayers have been with you all day.. I sure hope you are feeling them one AAI mom to another.. I know how hard it is to sit and wait by that phone.. It ripes at your heart or if the phone rings to check and see if it is the hospital calling.. I totally understand.. Just remember if you feel like you need someone to talk to you have my email addy to get ahold of me.. I'm happy to hear everything went well with his MRI today...I will be saying a prayer for him as he goes through his surgery tomorrow morning. How long did they say the surgery would last? Will you be waiting at the small animal clinic while they perform the surgery? |
Oh Vicki I did want to let you know.. If it takes longer than the time they are calling for please don't fret.. Babybear's surgery was only supposed to take 2 hours it ended up taking 3 and 1/2 hours.. Babybear's neck was broken unlike Bleu boy and they had a hard time stablizing his neck with the wire and bone cement.. Boy I wish I had it to do over again.. I would have taken him someplace else but it was an emergancy.. And he was in great hands.. It is done so much differently now.. And Babybear had his surgery 1 year and 8 months ago.. Please tell me if you need anything.. |
