| Corndog sticks!! My boyfriend gave Riley a corndog stick without telling me. Well I found it chewing in the floor this morning. Well Riley just had kinda runny stool and it looked like it had little pieces of the stick in it. I tried to call my vet but they are closed!! There was paper and stuff all in his poop. Since my vet is closed, I don't have the $$$ to go to the emergency vet. Should I try to get him to eat and check his poop again to see if its the same way?? The stool before, which was about an hour ago, was hard and normal. I'm seriously going to beat the crap out of my boyfriend!!!! |

| I would say to watch and wait. As long as baby is acting normal, eating and drinking, poop is coming, looks normal in consistency and there does not appear to be any blood in it (either bright red or darker than normal poop), all should be fine. But I would contact the vet first thing in the morning just to let them know and see if baby should be seen.

| Was it paper or wood? Sorry I don't think I've ever eaten a corndog. If it's paper, it's probably OK. Mine have eaten Q Tips with the rolled paper before and it came out in the poop. If it's wood, I don't know what to recommend? I know if they eat a needle you can feed them cotton balls soaked in chicken broth or cream but I thought you were supposed to do that right away. Can you call an emergency vet that's open today??
