| NO- to the stuffed... I think it would be way to hard to see them everyday,, I was just think abt this , today,, There was an ad on the radio about pets being cremated locally, I would do that,, and have the ashes in a nice urn, forever! It is 90.00, here, and they do your pet alone,, not all together, with other pets..then ya dont know whos ashes you get!

| I wouldn't do it.. it's a little too morbid for me. That's why I take as many photos of them as I can.. some people call it overkill, but once they are gone they'll live on in all the wonderful fun filled pictures I've taken of them over their years.

| Definitely NO! Wanna know why? First of all, I would want to have a nice burial service with my family members because my Yorkies are like children! Second of all, when we were looking at houses, my stepdad and I went to look at one. We walked in and this lady had a dog that was sitting on a chair. I just kept stairing at it because it wasn't moving and it looked funny. She saw me lokoing at it and I seemed scared and she said "Oh, honey, don't worry. He won't bite!" After that experience, stuffed dogs freak me out! |

| I would not want to be stuffed myself, so can't imagine stuffing my friend. I am unsure what I do want, though. In a way, a burial on our property seems right, and I could plant a rose bush nearby. In another way, I want my little ones with me in my casket when I am buried (assuming they pre-decease me) I have such a feeling of comfort when I'm with them. I know this whole topic is depressing, but my Yorkie boy has cancer and it is on my mind. I am trying to keep things in perspective, but sometimes am so weighed-down with sad feelings. |

| I have heard of a couple different things people do with their pets when they die, "stuffing" being one of them. There is a new option I heard about, but I have very little info on it... When your pet dies you can send their body (or ashes I can't remember) to a company that will cremate them then turn their ashes into a yellow diamond that you can make into jewelry.... I don't know anything else about it because I heard it on the radio in passing but it is being done. I might consider it for a pet but I don't know... it sounds expensive I have two pets ashes in small sealed wooden boxes with their names engraved into them and their collars wrapped around with a framed picture nearby... It's my little memorial to them.

| Interesting question. Two of my furbabies were cremated. Their urns are in the curio cabinet with their collars and pictures. The Pet Cemetary that did the cremation is a beautiful place. You have the option of cremation or burial in their beautiful kept grounds with large animal statues and granite markers. This pet cemetary is located about 20 miles from our home, so we chose the cremation. This way both our furbabies are still here with us. As far as the freeze dried or stuffing--I would probably pass. I had a replica cast figure made of my cat years ago. I would go into a room and had to look twice on whether it was the real one or not. When he died, I had to put the replica away. It broke my heart everytime I saw it.
