| Please not Science Diet. It is horrible. Innova is, in my opinion, one of the best foods available but we feed homecooked and Canidae. I think Canidae is really well balanced and all ingredients are from the USA. Roxanne_mi, most vets recommend Science Diet or Iams. They do not have good ingredients. I highly recommend this site: dogfoodanalysis.com Four and five star foods are great for Yorkies. Six star foods are awesome but have a lot of protein which may be too rich for some Yorkies.

| thank you for that site, I will definately check it out. I wasn't sure if the vet was saying to feed her iams because iams is the company that supplies their new puppy folders. I think I will check out some of the recipes on here and try making some homemade food for her.

| Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We have used several foods, but are currently feeding Dick Van Patton's Natural Balance Sweet Potatoe and Fish. We were in search of a food that would work for pups with sensative tummies and all stages of life....and this was one of the recommendations and has proven to work for our pups!

| I just got a bag of Taste of the Wild dry dog food. I think its made by the same person who makes chicken Soup Puppy, which I adore. Well, it was love at first bite!!!! It is a grain-free kibble. So far, so good!! Ingredients are great too. Lynn |
