| Moose is our First "male" dog (and first yorkie ) He will be 1 year 9-1-07. When do they start lifting their leg?? In the last 2-3 weeks he has started to scratch at the grass (like a bull) after he goes potty. Maybe he is starting to mature?

| Willy will lift his leg to pee, but not all the time. I joke with my husband that we know when it's time to mow, when he feel the need to lift his leg in the middle of the yard. Desiree |

| Gizmo is just a little over 5 months old, so I don't know if he's too young. He's also our only furchild, so maybe he doesn't have any mentors in leg-lifting? lol But he plants both feet firmly, a little wider apart than usual and his legs twitch as he pees. Can you tell I watch? lol I do watch like a hawk because I always try to catch him doing it on the peepad and consistently give him his reward.

| Our 10 year old Shi Tzu, Reggie, lifts his leg outdoors and squats indoors on his potty pad. But the baby, 5 month old Coby, the Yorkie has tried it twice this weekend!!! The first time he did, he fell against the tree. The second time he fell away from the tree!! My boy is growing up (but not very gracefully)! He's beeing neutered the 23rd, so that will catch him before that becomes a real marking urge (hopefully!).

| Is he an only child? Because otherwise, I want to know how you tied that leg down??? But really, it's fine, mine don't do it too much and only outside. But it is funny when Reggie (the older one) smells where a big dog "hit the mark" much higher and tries soooo hard to lift reeeeaaally high to hit that spot too.

| Ollie lifts his leg to pee - sometimes he lifts it so high, we think he is going to fall over. Since he "lost his virginity," he feels the need to lift his leg on every piece of grass, flower, chair leg and even my neighbor's boyfriend's leg. He got sent to "time-out" for that one. I understand that is pretty common. It's funny when we are out for a walk and my little girl yorkie forgets and all of a sudden will try to imitate him and lift her leg and then remember she doesn't do that. |

My Snooki is almost 5 years old, a teapot yorkie and a boy but he's peed like a girl his whole life! We make fun of him all the time because of it! There are the ocasional times where he lifts his leg, like when there is a bush or a tree, also when he's quickly "marking his territory" but when I take him outside our house for him to do his business, he always pees like a girl! Talk about big time identity crisis!
