| You said "him". I'd say no. I don't care what anyone says, men to not see as much danger ahead as women do. I'm convinced and I've been around the block. Don't trust anyone to use your retractable leash, either. |

| The only other people who walk Rocky besides me and Leo are our sisters, one of our very close friends, or Leo's mom. They all know my "rules" about walking him, and I trust them. These are also the people who usually puppysit for me too, so if I didn't trust them, they wouldn't be alone with the dogs to begin with. Last edited by Rae Rae; 07-09-2007 at 08:02 AM. |

I settled on doing that very thing. I said no to my male friend who had offered to walk him (he no-showed on our trial walk day!) and said yes to a female friend who had been on a couple walks with them. Also, mother in law has been walking them daily. They're doing great, I hear. I miss them terribly, but I will admit that it's been nice to be able to escape for two weeks. For the first time in my life, I understand parents who say they need time away from their kids. It always seemed heartless to me before this trip.

| I don't trust anyone to watch or walk my dogs. Nobody watches your animals like you do! |

| Me either! I am far too neurotic and paranoid. I don't trust anyone to look out for her the way I do.

| I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Sorry but I have to say no I don't think I'd trust ANYONE besides my own hubby to take them out on a walk. Maybe my mom - but sometimes she can be a bit.....dingy LOL - so that ones iffy too!

| For me, I won't because he knows little about them and anything can happen like get out of leash/collar.... I won't even trust my husband walking my dog because he walks our labrador and always gets away..... maybe backyard will do..... but it is up to you.... just my opinion...

| 50 do's and don'ts???!! By the time your friend reads them all those Yorkie's will be in Mexico! If your Mother-in-law can walk them at all, let her. Even if they don't get the same exercise at least they'll still be at home when you get there! Better safe than sorry. |

I learned something too: It's good to get away from them from time to time. Karren (two posts above), just a thought: You commented that you're concerned about them getting out of their leash/collar. Do you use a harness? If not, I'd encourage you to look into it. They don't slip off like a collar does and they are much safer for your pup's neck. I use a harness for walks only.
