I settled on doing that very thing. I said no to my male friend who had offered to walk him (he no-showed on our trial walk day!) and said yes to a female friend who had been on a couple walks with them. Also, mother in law has been walking them daily. They're doing great, I hear.
I miss them terribly, but I will admit that it's been nice to be able to escape for two weeks. For the first time in my life, I understand parents who say they need time away from their kids. It always seemed heartless to me before this trip. |
I understand totally. Occassionally my parents will steal Sadie for a few days and while I completely miss her (can't sleep w/o her in bed with me) it's a little nice too. But I'm ALWAYS glad to get her back! Have fun on your vacation!
