I can't remember if I reported in, but all went well while we were on vacation. I didn't let my friend walk them, but my mother-in-law did. She said their behavior didn't change much while we were gone, and we returned to find them happy and healthy.

I learned something too: It's good to get away from them from time to time.

Karren (two posts above), just a thought: You commented that you're concerned about them getting out of their leash/collar. Do you use a harness? If not, I'd encourage you to look into it. They don't slip off like a collar does and they are much safer for your pup's neck. I use a harness for walks only.
