| My dog is 6 months old and I voted Never Ever Alone for 12 Hours. I don't think I'd ever do it, he's alone tops 8 hours someties when hubby or I are stuck in traffic coming back from work. But soon I'll be taking him to daycare so it won't be an issue again .

| who ever picked that second answer, needs to be hit over the head with a bat and then give their animal away to someone who will be able to care for it as they should be taken care of |

| I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I only do it in an emergency, and even then...I have someone come over to let him outside to go to the bathroom, make sure he has enough food/water, give him Nutri-Cal, and play with him while we are away. Thankfully though, I have only had to do this a couple of times.

| There was this ONE time that I left Zoe home for 9 hours alone!! I felt HORRIBLE!!! other than that,he is never alone longer than 6 hours. I have been luckyin that way however I am trying to get another job and if I get it, 2 days out of the week zoe would have to be alone for 7-8 hours. It hasn't happened yet because I didn't get the job. This jobwould require traveling as well but my household has 3 people that can alternate taking care of him while I'm gone. I need this job so keeps your fingers crossed for me!!

| Buddy is alone for 8-9 hrs Mon-Fri. I have to work! He is free and sleeps all day but I spend 30-45 min every morning with him doing nothing but playing. When I get home it is he and I so I feel he is not losing out on anything. He has adjusted wonderfully. I did have guilt trips at first. He comes first so there are many times I do not go out with friends after work. He looks forward to seeing me at night as much as I look forward to seeing him. We are a team Buddy and I. I knew what I was getting into when I bought him and I do not regret it ever! Carol & Buddy |

| I work during the day, but I come home for an hour at lunch to hang out with Howie. So, I'd say Howie is alone for about 7 hours Monday - Friday. He doesn't seem to mind at all. He has his toys and all of his fun stuff. And he has his puppy pads to go potty on, but he usually waits until I get home to go. For whatever reason he only likes to go if I'm watching!

| 1 time I had to leave him alone for an emergency- family member passed- Pretty bad that I thought about him the whole time and went ahead and let early from the hospital..Sorry Auntie! My baby was at home by himself...She would have wanted me to go home and tend to him and not cry over her being gone. That was the only time I have ever left him home for 10 hours...He was fine when I got there..Just happy to see me...O by the way he was 11 months old...Pretty grown up and not to mention he had food avalible and potty pads...So he could pretty much do what ever he wanted...Bed, play toys... |
