| I never thought of this! But yeah I would have a problem, and I myself wouldnt even pick up a strange dog..kinda like the rule of asking before you pet a dog. You dont know if the dog will bite you. Also, what if the dog doesn't like being picked up. For their own sake, they should ask first. |

| Nope, I don't even like it when my neices pick my two up. I'm a little strange like that. I just don't want them (my pups) to get hurt. And as for a stranger, no way, especially if they like their arms attached to their bodies!!

| I don't mind people picking Sully up......BUT.....I voted that it is rude becuase I realy do think people should ask first!!!! I would say Yes, most of the time, but not all dogs don't mind being picked up, ya know? And sometiems I don't want total strangers picking up my dog, etc.

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | Absolutely not! I would totally freak if someone picked up my dog and I didn't know them. With all the weirdos out there, you don't know if someone is going to take off running with your yorkie. Why even take the chance?

| I think before anyone picks up a yorkie or any dog that is small should be shown how to hold them. They are very fragile in my eyes, and if dropped they could face injury or worse. |

| I voted yes but don't let anyone hold him without my permission. He's very sensitive if someone picks him up from the front so I never let anyone pick him up unless I'm holding him. I also stand nearby since he usually wants to go right back to me. |

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | It's extremely rude for someone to just pick up or handle your dog. It's just like a skinbaby...would you want some stranger to just walk up and handle them. God forbid they dropped them. I am sure they are not going to say well it's my fault he/she got hurt let me pay the vet bill...lol. Yeah right they are going to high tail it so fast. Plus what if it were a guise to grab them and run..it has been done before.

| My furkids Donating Member | I say yes only if they ask and I am standing right there. As we all know Yorkies are leapers! If someone goes to pick her up I will tell them to hold on to her harness as well...But usually I don't have strangers picking up my dog. After all...she is my baby!

| I would absolutely not be down with a stranger handling any of my dogs. If they asked I can't say that I would either. I too believe there are certain ways to pick up a yorkie. I guess it would depend on the person, situation and or feeling I got from them. |

| My 5 month olf Frankie is a leaper too - she jumped right out of my arms the first week we had her and suffered a bad fall - thanks goodness she wasnt hurt, just very dazed and shocked. Have you been able to stop Cali from leaping? Anything you have done that works? |

| If I were in a store and someone just picked up Google, I'd be very pissed off about it. First, I'd be afraid that this person was trying to steal my dog; but secondly, how does this person know that my dog won't try to bite them? I know Google is a friendly dog, but how do THEY know? And what if he tried to wiggle away and the stranger dropped him? Just thinking about it makes me a little freaked. I once had a lady follow me for a few aisles in the pet store, and her behavior made me wonder if she was going to try to steal Google. |
