Lady was a rescue, so I'm working with some commands she probably kind of learned before. We're actually working on move "back" right now. I had to give up on "back up," because she kept getting confused and jumping on chairs or standing up. So far: sit, stay, shake, other shake (so cute, she just gives me her other paw), come, relax, drop it, stand up, get up (on a chair or a couch), down, and she understands when I want her to go around something, I draw a line with my pointer finger in the air. It amazed me the first time she actually followed the route I gave her. Yorkies are amazing! | |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm with Brit. Definitely 45 plus but it would take some work to remember all of them. Some of them need both a word and a hand signal; others just a word; still others just a hand signal. But now I'm curious! I'll keep listing until I hit 45. Both Eddie and Jillie Sit Down Stay Come Stop Heel Reverse Spin Spin other way Shake High 5 High 10 Low 5 Low 5 other side Around (walk around me into a heel) Come back (Turn around into heel) Up Over Weave (poles in agility) Tunnel Teeter (totter) Crawl Go get it (fetch) Seek (nosework game) Leave it No bark Atchoo (get tissue trick) Kisses EDDIE ONLY Bang, you're dead Roll over Weave (between my legs) Stand (and stay) Wait Go (in agility, means keep running to next object) MISCELLANEOUS WORDS Moose Kitty Mama Meetup Lucy (our other dog) I'm going to work (lets them know I'm leaving) Wanna go to work? (lets them know we're going to a therapy dog visit) Who's hungry (dinnertime) Walk Park Dog Go get Eddie (or Jillie)

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Remembered a few more. I'll bet all our dogs know 45 words if we think about it. Get in the Bug (get in my car) Mama's car (get in) Here (in agility, it's the opposite of Go. It means Do the exercise near me) Bird (we own a macaw) Boots (they hide when I saw "Put on your boots" Coat (they hide) Harness It's raining It's snowing And a couple forgotten tricks: Speak (Eddie) Limp (Eddie)
