Is this thread not about TAILS ???????? What the F*?& is all the extra BS about then? Like this thread is ruined just like other threads have been and i find it harder to log onto YT now due to the negative energy that's going through this site and it is not pinned on just ONE person but a group of people.
SOMETHING HAS GOT TO CHANGE !!!!!!
Eventually your going to find that the little group of people who are always fighting with eachother are going to be the only ones who ever post here because everyone else is going to be SICK of reading about it.

No offense but many of the members that you say fight or pick on people have been putting up with the OP's agenda for months watching closed thread after closed thread............ Hang in for 5 months then please tell us your opinion then.

I would, and I admit, I had a very difficult time docking my pups tails- BUT my vet basically said, you have to follow the standard, and until that standard is changed- docking tails will be done.

I also admit, they (the puppies) cried, I don't know if it was from pain or from having to be away from mom.

I also wanted to say, someone here put that removing dew claws was also something that needs to stop, (well something along that line).. I disagree, dew claws are in a bad spot on the dogs foot/leg, if they are left on, there is about a 99% chance at some point in the dogs life the dew claw will be ripped off, and that would be painful, and possibly cause infection.

Have you seen how fast the nails grow on a dew claw, they grow fast and in a circle (not straight out) and have to be clipped weekly (at least on the dogs I have seen with them on) or they grow right into the skin.

Dew claw removal is best for the well being of the dog... I have seen far too many get ripped off with the nerve exposed.... a few seconds of pain to have them removed is far more humane than the days/weeks of bandages and healing and nerve exposure if they get ripped off.

Of course this is all just about my experiences....

But I would definatly buy a yorkie with it's tail... not dew claws though.

I also think we have to follow the standard, (maybe the us will catch up with the other countries as far as tail removal) as my vet also explained to me- or we may lose the "yorkie" all together.

I know it seems like the same people debate - but actually - there are many people who are in the threads that get 'heated' and not just the same people over and over - IT does get repetative ...but that's how public boards are -

I have no problem with debates and i actually enjoy them but what i DO have a problem with is the fact that people aren't just showing their opinions, they are GANGING UP on certain people and that is no fun for anyone.

Athina....No one is fighting - it's called Freedom of Expression - when certain subjects come up and people don't agree with the opinions or it gets off on other topics - it tends to turn into a debate - many times it's been over serious subjects ...

Like "DON'T Buy from Pet stores" for example

Would you speak up if that was the issue ? I certainly do.
