Hello To All -

red98vett says it ALL..."Everyone" should look at the web site about tiny yorkies...IT WAS WONDERFUL EXPLANATION! I think if more people wanting ang buying tiny Yorkies would look at this web site they might change their minds on buying a so called tiny york.

For what red98vett said is 'EXACTLY" why we did not buy or shop for tiny yorkies when we bought our cuties Pismo and Lil' Bit...PEOPLE NEED TO DO THEIR RESEARCH BEFORE THEY BUY YORKIES AND FOR THAT MATTER ANY BREED!

Don't we buy our pups and want them to be healthy, happy and in a wonderful home? Why subject these little guys to all the health problems and unhappiness?

I feel if people would do their research on these little guys and "NOT" buy them hopefully, maybe the tiny breed would put them to shame if they purchased one!

Thanks for the web site...I am going to pass it along to anyone and everyone who is thinking about buying a yorkie and educate them even more on these tiny little guys!

I agree and there is NO DEFENSE - breeding tinies is only abusing those poor mommies...it's something done for HUMANS & why mess with nature - Yorkies are perfect as they are - going smaller and smaller is going to ruin a gorgeous breed...aside from the suffering the moms go thur during pregnancy

and GO Sandi - you are really helping put the word out too

My posts about breeding tinies do NOT include the little yorkies born to standard parents - so please anyone with a tiny - don't take offense !!

Sandie- I agree, the website Villette posted should be read by all before buying a tiny- like I said before, when you buy a tiny from a tiny it is the same as supporting a puppy mill. (note- I am not talking about those instances when a tiny is born from an average size female...)

Villette- that is a wonderful website to share with the people who come on this site looking for a tiny, and those who try and sell tinies where their moms are also tinies.... thanks for finding that.

txshopper- I couldn't agree more with that statement...

There have been a lot of good informative posts on this thread now, and that is what we need to get the word out.

I hope that this thread will help the admin in figuring out what size of mother they are going to allow for posting babies for sale, on the for sale section.

I can't get that poor puppy that villette posted about out of my head- it is so true and so sad.. I have seen this puppies story posted about on other websites- she is a fighter, and was born out of greed- poor thing. Hopefully her story will stop at least one person from breeding for greed.

BTW...if he doesn't know, find a different vet!

My vet told me never breed under 5lbs. He also said a good breeding weight is 6 to7 lbs. and that you will see less complications with delivery as long as you have a smaller male to compliment the females size.
