This was the post that I thought gave very good advise from a legal standpoint. I am not sure what open forum she used or if in fact she used the review section of puppyfind but none the less good information. Thanks ehunney.

I actually stopped a yorkietalk member from buying a puppy from this puppy broker who posed as a breeder Doing this will not only save others heartcache, but it will also hurt there business and slowly force them to stop what they are doing to these innocent pups . Actually it is very easy to sue, winning the case is another situation. It still takes lawyers and $$$ to fight a lawsuit even if you win you lose because of the amount of $$$ you had to pay out

actually, i am talking about the same

. life is too short

not too many people want to spend their money for lowyer because somebody said something on public forum.
especially if it is TRUE.

A REPUTABLE breeder ALWAYS sells pups with spayed/neutered cotract

I'd like to disagree with this. there are a lot of reputable breeders who don't ALWAYS have a spay/neuter contract. And, just a question, what if someone sold show pups? If someone shows their dog, they are not neutered/spayed. The idea that all reputable breeders should always sell pups with a spay/ neuter contract should not be correct. JMO

Because BOB breed not good quality yorkies that is NOT right.
Only standard and good quality dogs without genetic defects must be breeding.

Well to answer some questions - we already have a Breeding Section ...that isn't the subject here though it seems to be in these last threads...

the section would just be a place to share information we have either learned.... or want to share.... and most of the posts would revolve around much of what we already post about ...the importance of helping to stop Puppy Mills - Poems - Pet Stores Etc.

DomLee - you asked "HOW do you think you can help by posting up this information?"

That is simple - We can help by EDUCATING PEOPLE on not shopping in Pet Stores and helping slow down MASS BREEDING... thereby helping millions of dogs who live in hell

If one person a day saw a Post about Puppy Mills on this site - and learned NOT to shop in Pet Stores - do you realize how many people that could add up to ?

I don't want to repeat myself.... but too many good posts get missed in General Discussion and Off Topic - a small section on Puppy Mills be a place where the information would be there for anyone to see..at anytime.

You know Villette, I don't understand why we are even having this "discussion." Why on earth would ANYONE object to a section on puppy mill awareness? I personally think we should have TEN sections on puppy mills. This is a topic that NEEDS attention. Why are people objecting to it even though we already have the Mill Busters website? Wow, big deal. There are MANY websites and rescue websites which discuss in detail the horror of puppy mills, pet stores and puppy brokers. But one more (in addition to the already existing ones) only helps to further the cause and spread awareness. So how can it be a bad thing?

Sorry if I seem dense but I just don't understand why there is even a discussion about this. It should AUTOMATICALLY be accepted and appplauded!

I agree, totally,,, Its not really a question of if we think its a good Idea or not.... Its more of a question of .... WHY DONT WE HAVE A SECTION HERE YET?? HUH????

The "No" response I would not vote for because I don't feel that way; I do however feel like the link to Millbusters.com is enough IF we can make a sticky or a section dedicated to directing people to Millbusters with maybe a preview of the info that Millbusters holds.

I always pay attention that people KNOW the word PUPPY MILLS,
however they know NOTHING who is who

.
They say:" I bougth my pup from a breeder". When we start speak about some details, it is SO obvious that that breeder is typical BOB/small puppy miller.
But person proud that she/he didn't take her pup from a pet store/puppy mill

.
But what is the difference???

What I am trying to say is...
Telling people about puppy mills is GREAT idea. But we also should explain who is good breeder and who is not. Bad breeder is BOB or small puppy miller. Some people think that puppy mills is something dirty and massive. I took my pup from a very clean space

but she is MASS producer. I didn't see that, she is not stupid. She took some pups to her clean house, but all her dogs live in crates ALL THE TIME.
People should know something like that...

Well Kristy...I wish I could agree but after Millbusters died down and we posted threads HERE about Puppy Mills - I really did get pm's from people who just had NO IDEA these conditions existed -

Many people come here to just hang out and don't travel around the net looking up info - if the Information right here WITH a link to Millbusters... I think we could inform many more people than we are right now.

I would just love it if the whole country would boycott Pet Stores ...they are the main player in the horrible business called Puppy Mills

omichka...you have a good point and I'm sure there are many people who feel the same about a breeder they may have dealt with
