| Cash used to bark like crazy at our previous house and my roommate got soooo angry. Now that we are living in a flat (which I was very scared about - we could get evicted if he barks too much) he only makes a little yap when someone walks by. We 'shhhhh' him even then because I want to get him into the mindset of not using barking as a plaything. Did I mention that he used to drive us crazy?

| My Daisy only barks at the cats. She loves to bark at them and jump on their back to hold them down to kiss them. The cats hate it, but poor little Daisy just wants to play with them and the cats want nothing to do with her. |

| Lily barks at TV too!!lol She can be asleep and a dog on TV and she will wake up and bark at it like crazy!! She has become quite the little noise maker!! Has anyone ever tried any type of "bark deterrent"? Not a collar type ... those portable things to help stop them barking so much?? I have tried coins in a can, water bottle, newspaper rolled up and nothing phases her she just doesn't stop!! |

| We have a golden retriever named Toni (she's 4) and Stewart (6 months). Stewart is learning to bark when Toni does! LOL It's pretty funny. He will also bark when he wants off the bed in the middle of the night to go potty! Thank goodness! It wasn't good when he used to go to the bathroom on DH's feet!!! LOL Another yap, is the yap to come in! He just has a very little yap! He's so freakin' cute! You gotta love the Yorkie!

| Denny will bark occasionally. Usually if: 1.) He has to pee 2.) Someone took his sun spot ![]() 3.) Someone pulled into the driveway 4.) He hears other dogs barking and 5.) He sees leaves blowing in the wind.

| YT 1000 Club Member | Ya...Yorkies have a false Reputation as being "YAPPY"....even my DH thought this and was not happy when I first got KiKi because he was expecting her to bark all the time...much to his surprise (and delight) she rarely barks and usually only does so when prompted (for a treat or a toy etc)...and we also went to a Yorkie meet last Sept. and there was about 35 yorkies all together running around in a small yard and we were very surprised how quiet the gathering was! Yorkies Rule!

| I've tried to train Reuger not to bark in the house. I watched Cesear on TV and he shushes at the dogs to quiet them. I started doing it and it works with a firm NO. Reuger occasionally forgets when he sees something outside that he just has to bark at but over all he seldom barks. When he wants to bark he'll go around and bark with his mouth shut. It sounds like "humff" deep in his throat. It's really pretty cute to hear!!!

| Okay, we live across the street from the Pizza Hut...and Winston has made it his job to bark at every car leaving there. He sits and waits and watches the Pizza Hut, as soon as somebody pulls out the barking begins...then it starts all over again. Once the drapes are drawn closed...he rarely, if ever, barks...no more Pizza Hut!!!

| Suki only barks when she is in front of our large window that you can see the whole front yard and all the neighbors. that and she will bark when she needs your attention or really wants you to play with her. Other than that she is quite quiet. |
