I Love My Babies Donating Member | My daughter had a Yorkie male and I thought he was the smartest little thing. Her friend had a Maltese and they bred them. My daughter didn't want the baby so she asked if I wanted it. Of course, the answer was yes. That's how we got Sandy. That was 4 yrs ago and we love her so much. So we had to have another one. TJ was born in Nov last year. (Same mommy, different dad.) He was my Christmas present and we now have two wonderful babies. TJ's dad was with us for several months too. His name is Dexter (Yorkie). We have him off and on. He is 3 and weighs about 3.4lbs. Sandy is 6lbs and TJ is 7lbs. I have asthma and could not have any that shed.

| I had recently lost my cocker spaniel and decided I wanted another dog. I wanted something small that my daughter could handle. OF course she was 16 at the time but didn't ever like my cocker or my beagle. I let her make the choice of what she was interested in. She at first said Pappions. I looked into them and was really close to getting one. Then she set eyes on the yorkie and maltese dogs. She decided that a white dog always had stains on their eyes and she really like the yorkie coloring. So like someone else said I got the Yorkie for dummies book and read it cover to cover as well as read other books. I got on here and talked to people and I actually found Starsky's breeder on here. I have never love a dog so much as I do Starsky and now Shylah is with us too. They are like my children. I really dread the day I loose one of them. They both have definitly stole my heart!!!! My husband was never a real dog lover, but he sure loves his yorkie babies.

| A year ago this past September, my husband had to have 6 by-pass surgery.... it was extremely stressful as he was told he can have no more by-passes and will need a heart transplant if he gets into trouble again. We have tried to change a lot of things in our lives... like slowing down and smelling the roses. We went on a 3 week holiday to Hawaii... came home and I still felt like we needed something more to ground us more. I had heard that a pet is very healthy for a person... so I started looking for a puppy... I had looked at yorkies for quite awhile on the internet and finally picked one.. only a few days old... she passed away at 5 weeks old. I was so devastated that my husband said keep looking and we found her... she came to us at 12 weeks and we have never looked back! She has so made us giggle... My husband who was macho and said he wasn't all that interested... is so funny now... almost a complete reversal... he has so much fun with her as well!

YT 2000 Club Member | Gee for me it started way back when I was in grade school, I fell in love with the Yorkie breed after seeing how adorable my Aunts Yorkies were in person. I had seen them on TV dog shows and thought how pretty their hair was, so long and flowing when they ran, but then to see one in person. I knew I had to have one someday I was so excited to get my Jeter last year at the end of November. It took forever for me to get my first Yorkie, it really was like a dream come true for me Now we have 3 little furballs!

| my daughters friend found a yorkie walking on the streets and could not keep him, so my daughter took him and fixed him up. he is old and needed alot of stuff done to him. she is a member on here, stinkysmom and her little stinky is so adorable. so after babysitting him and taking care of him i realized i had to have one, you just fall in love with them. i love my little sammy very much and wish i could have a dozen of them. before sammy i had a maltese for 17 years. so it is all because of stinky that i have a yorkie ! |

| my daughter..... we had 3 dogs at the time, and she BEGGED for a yorkie for Christmas, 3years ago.. thus, came my Tootie. I bought him, before I was "Yorkie Educated", chose a poor breeder(without knowing better). I lucked up and he was healthy and wonderful! he is an awesome 16 lbs... after having him for a few months.... . The MIRACLE girls were born to Linda (lksdolls on YT) I followed their story(its on her website) and fell in LOVE with my baby girl Hope... She was born in March, I watched her grow as Linda bottle fed all of the girls... In the summer, I was determined to have her come home to me... On a beautiful day in September 2 years ago, I flew up to Pittsburg, got to meet Linda and bring my baby girl home... NOWWW, daughter is BEGGING again... lol.... next time,we want a baby boy, hopefully a relative of Hopes! It is hard to resist, but I know now is not the right time for my family to get another puppy... love my babies d

| After Dtr got married, I told hubby I had a hole in my heart that only a small dog could fill. We knew it needed to be a small dog so I could handle it with my physical limitations. I was leaning towards a small poodle when we saw a Yorkie breeder at the flea market. Hubby had son in law ask a lot of questions and hubby said if I wanted to, I could get a yorkie. So I did research on them. Finding the standard weight and non shedding (hubby has allergies) was a positive. Dtr got one from the breeder we talked to and we got one from someone else. The funny thing is Gremlin (dtr's) is feisty and rambunctious like her and Gypsy is quiet and likes to laze around like me.

| What made me to get Sal? I am an empty nester and my husband work from 6:30 am to 6 pm T-Th and every weekend. I was feeling alone and did have anyone to talk too or care for. Then Sal came along and he has been a gift from the heavens and I have been so greatful ever since. |

| Why did I get a Yorkie? I've always wanted one. I have noticed their amazing personalities. I have always had Viszlas and Weimaraners and I think bigger dogs are better with kids, but for just me, Rambo is perfect! |

| I saw them on line I was searching for a puppy and researched yorkies and fell in live with the breed. My husband suffers from OCD and has severe anxiety attacks and he says that our two yorkies help to calm him. It brought tears to my eyes when he told me that. |
