WOW I can't believe what good prices people here go on their dogs!! Although I wouldn't trade Teddi for the WORLD I realize that I paid waaaaaay too much for her!!!!! |
I finally got UKC papers from the breeder but can't recall if I registered him or not! I don't recall writing a check so I must not have. But he's registered where it counts, right here by my side! |
I agree, Ronda. I was really surprised. I was prepared to pay quit a bit for a healthy dog. |
Lil Bit was "free' - my husband used to have a TV repair shop years ago. He repaired a lady's TV once - was a house call - when he had fixed the TV she asked him if he would take the Yorkie puppy instead of the money as she was short of money. We had lost our Penni a couple of years earlier and Bruce thought I would like another one, so he agreed to take the puppy. I believe she was the last one in the litter. Beamer, I got from a reputable breeder in Michigan. He was a year old the day after I got him. I paid $1350 for him including his airfare. And he has been worth every penny. (it was a few dollars more than the breeder was asking, but I wanted to make sure I covered the airfare and health certificate and the traveling kennel) |
Too much!!! But worth every single penny!!! |
great posts!! my oliver was $900 from a local upstate small family breeder, loves her pups, not doing it all for the $$. he is registered with continental kennel club, not akc, not even sure what ckc is. was naive thought i wanted a tiny yorkie, he is 17 months, almost full grown & 6.7 lbs of love. now that i see how fragile he is i hope he even grows more so that he is as healthy as he can be. my yorkie mix is 15 lbs can't remember exactly her price got her from spca & she was pricey $500-600 ?? both best money i ever spent. i find it's not the money you spend to get them it's the money you spend for their health, treats, toys, etc.. that is so costly. hard for me to resist buying toys, clothes, treats(healthy ones, which are crazy expensive). but it makes me feel better that there are many people like me, my 16 yr old daughter thinks i've lost it when it comes to my babies. have a great day everyone. we just another foot of snow, !!!!! |
I paid $500.00 for Remy.. but that did not cover any shots, her spade, registration. I realize pups that are a bit older and have shots, even possible spade and baby teeth taken care of a a higher price even out in price |
Oh, having a Yorkie is so expensive and such a bargain for what we get! Another foot of snow!!!!! Oh, no! We here in D/FW had our fill of snow and ice the week before the Superbowl and right after. I can't imagine having to deal with that much snow. Tibbe came in absolutely covered in little balls of snow and ice from romping and yes, rolling in the snow. His doggie coat didn't do that much to keep him from getting those little balls all caught up in the fur that was exposed and I had to use the hair dryer to de-ice his coat. I was afraid his toes would get frostbite as his feet are so tiny but he loved it out in all that weather though I'd just leave him out in it long enough to toilet and run around twice and called him in. He came in jumping over the snow all the way! He loved it. |
no one knows not even hubby and he is the one that took me to Ga. to pick up my lil porscha when it come time to exchange money he went outside i have had her 15 months and he has never asked the same for my pekingese mee ling i went and got her with a girlfriend and again he has never asked about her either ( he sure does love all of us )   |
Taycie was 600. She is not registered as her mom wasn't but her dad is. I did meet both of her parents and they were both beautiful dogs. |
I brought two at the same time. Of course the girl cost more. But all together I paid a little less than $1300.00 |
Let's see...Zack-$350, Zeke-$0, Zoey-$400 and Zipp (aka Spike) $25 plus $300 for our air fare to/from Columbus OH.:) |
1500.00 for Nickie AKC registered she was 9 or 10 months old I just got a 9week old puppy who I calo Stella Dallas very beautiful 850.00 back yard breeder yes byb nice pedigree and beautiful parents 1 year health gaurantee mommie was in coat 850.00 AKC too winner winner chicken dinner. |
I based this on my "purchased" Yorkie but many people have more than one and perhaps Paid differently per Yorkie...I'm feeling hmm ponderous after seeing the results...the average paid for a Yorkie here is the same price as getting a rescue here with the adoption fee....just sayin' |
Charlie was $250.00 and is ACK registered |
