Maggie was free, Rocky is Maggie's son. Paid for Sunnie and she had Jack. |
I paid $450 for my little one. She isn't pure yorkie though, but sure looks like it. She has about 1/4 maltese in her. Everyone always assumes she's pure yorkie. |
Hi new to yorkietalk love all the post i have been reading name is Christina owned by a 5 year old yorkie name Tiffany. we have been looking for another female to join our family a puppy.i have contacted a few breeders but the asking price have been so much we are from upstate ny. i know breeders ask what they need to ask to me a yorkie is worth a millon..lol my Tiffany has no price tag she is my baby... i hope to read more and get to know new yorkie friends.. |
We just put a deposit down on our first Yorkie and she is $1200 AKC with breeder rights and health guarntee. We thought that was high but called a bunch of the ads in the paper and they were all about the same $1000 for Limited AKC $1200 for Full. I found a few for $800 and less but they were going to be around 6-7lbs. The parents to ours are 3lbs. I can't wait to bring her home March 6th. |
We got an amazing deal on our akc yorkie.... a friend of my husband's ex-wife was moving and she couldn't have any pets and her new husband said you either sell the dog or I am going to give it to the pound....She bought the dog for $1,200 the week before and she sold it to us for $300.00 :p she weighs 5.5 pounds |
I paid about £200 (approx $400) for my Tink - mainly because it was my best friend who had the pups - every penny was worth it! In fact, Tink is worth 1000000000000 times her weight in gold!!! xXx |
So this is actually an interesting story. I paid 800 dollars for Bella which i thought was a steal. She came with her papers, and i was told she was a toy yorkie. So i heard that Toy yorkies are under 5 lbs when full grown. Is this true. Currently Bella is 6 pounds, maybe 7. So I think i was misled into believing she was a toy. It doesnt matter because i love her so much now, but its hard to believe i paid 800 dollars for a toy yorkie. I also made the mistake of not seeing her parents, which i know now is something that you MUST look at. |

Suzi is a pure bred 7lb'er Yorkie, no papers. That was not important to me. The people I got her lives in the boonies and are an older couple. She was $600.00 .Yorkie's are a toy breed. The stadard is no more then 7lbs, however there are many above that weight and are just a beautiful. Sad thing is some breeders try and deliberlty breed smaller and smaller Yorkies. FOR PROFIT:( To me that is wrong. |
I have a 3 year old that will be on her way here Monday. It will be a long day for both of us. She is 3 and was $500. Seems reasonable plus I am confident in the breeder. We purchased a large boy 5 years ago (he's with my ex wife) and turned out to be a great dog. |
Piper was $1800, AKC , and weighs 5.5lbs. |
Lily is AKC and i got her for 1000$ and she is under 4 pounds. |
I bought Precious from a family that posted an ad & didn't want her anymore. They wanted $600. but I offered $500. & they took it. Thank God because she was a hot mess! She wasn't fixed, was peeing blood, had to do 3 courses of antibiotics to cure the ongoing kidney infection & her nails were so long the vet said she had NEVER seen a sidewalk! Now she is PERFECT!!!!!:aimeeyork |
Have Almost Forgotten :aimeeyorkIt is very difficult to think about Stone in terms of money. He is a delightful part of my family - along with my Shetland Sheepdog Andy. |
W/o shipping Teddy was $800, London was $1200, Sophie was $1500 |
