| No hate for Fridays? I remember when I was in college, I dined at a Fridays with a friend. Service was so terrible I still have never gone back to one to this day. My friend and I ordered build your own burgers. We both love raw onion, so we ordered our burgers with onion and some other stuff. We didn't know the onions were caramelized onions, so when the burgers came, we asked if we could get some raw onions. No problem with that right? The waiter came back with about three rings on raw onion, in a napkin in his hand! WTF. So we were like, uh can we have some more, and can we have them on a plate? Was that too much to ask?In return, he sent the manager over to talk to us as if we had complained about something! The manager asked us if everything was ok and we said yes. Didn't complain about a thing! But I don't remember the server coming back for the remainder of the meal. And of course we left him a crappy tip. While we were walking out, he comes up to us and says, oh you forgot your change. What a jerk!

| Pizza Hut (greasy mess) Olive Garden (bland/tasteless) Dominoes (more greasy mess) Chili's (tastes like it has freezer burn all the time) With regard to the chickens eating their own poop - we have chickens (Ameraucanas, Cochins and Brahmas) and they've never eaten poo...grass, crickets, bugs, worms, dandelions, oyster shells, layer feed, veggies, fruits and some plants - yes, but never poop. Maybe we just have polite chickens. |

| Do you guys have any local hole in the wall places like I listed in my first post that has scores of fans but you just don't get why? That was kind of my initial question. To me all corporate chain restaurants suck. Except for Popeyes. They have the bomb fries!

I don't know if Gray's Papaya would be considered "local". I think they're only in NYC. I don't think their hot dogs are overwhelmingly better than any other hot dog I've ever eaten. Although, I don't think I've ever eaten a Gray's Papaya outside of the 2-4am window when I've been sober...so that may have had some influence on my taste buds. I eat Popeye's once a year because I love it. Unfortunately, I always vomit afterwards. That's the pay off. But it's totally worth it.

| Have you tried Popeye's deep fried apple pie pie coated in cinnamon sugar??? Omg...it is soooo good!!! I have to eat it over the kitchen sink because the sugar falls off like snow everytime I bite into that luscious lump of processed heaven.

| No but I remember when McDs used to deep fry their pies. Like that right? I'm not into sweets so I never order that. But I just love their battered fries! Rally's does theirs like that too.

| Popeye's chicken has gotten terrible in the last 15 years. The pieces are tiny now. I do have to say their red beans & rice is still incredible though. It's the only thing I ever get when I go there. In San Antonio we're lucky to have two great local fast food joints for fried chicken: Bill Miller's and Bush's. They both kill the national chains when it comes to fried chicken.

| I don't like Burger King at all. Wendy's isn't too bad. Don't like Friendly's (except for the ice cream). Everything tastes the same. I like the blooming onion at Outback, but like someone said, they can never seem to cook the steak the way you ask for it. My cousin works at Applebees and says that almost all of their food is microwaved. |

| Wow, so Applebees is basically like kids' school lunches? Never have eaten there, but have heard nothing but horrible things from people I know who have.
