Actually, how about food trucks? I didn't get the hype over Lime Truck. They won the Great Food Truck Race the first year. Their foods ok, but SO expensive and small portions. Never saw a long line for them either.

AMEN SISTER!! King Taco is so.... So many words not enough time. My favorite place is Mariela's Tacos over on Sunset and Coronado. It's gotten a little Americanized over the years, but the basics are still amazing. Tacos, burritos, and tortas, YUM!!!! I agree with sonic's, and Olive Garden. Both places just have bad food. Oh!! We (me and the bros) really like this taco stand that sets up at night on Beverly and La Fayetteville Park place. They do tacos "estilo michoacan" (Michoacan Style) They definitely remind me of the tacos from "back home".

I think Famous Dave's sucks. I got the Manhandler sandwich before. The pic looked huge. It was the tiny little thing. It can't even fill up the belly of a 110 pound girl and they call it a MANhandler? Please.

Ok, I tried two NOLA institutions and I think they both pretty much blew. Mother's in the CBD. Had the Ferdi po boy which is their "thing". Roast beef was dry, ham was not even noticeable. Also got a seafood gumbo. $8.25 for a small cup and there was just shrimp, no other seafood, and it was bland!

Parkway Tavern was nothing impressive either. First time we ate there were we drunk and hungry so we thought it was good. Came back a few days later sober and it was not as great as we thought. Seems like alcohol is a great seasoning. And why are all the "poor" boys in NOLA all like $12+? I thought they were were the "poor boys"? But now they are going to make me poor. So glad I'm back in Cali.
