| Priscilla (or anyone else) tell me what you do with spaghetti squash. I bake and use as pasta with a red sauce or a pesto sauce or serve with butter and garlic..... sometimes fry up into "potato cakes" but I'm looking for new ideas

| I have to hang out in this section more, you guys have awesome ideas I also use sp. squash, I used to bake mine but my friend told me I can save a ton of time and not heat up the house by steaming it whole in the microwave, I just poke a few holes in the skin and it cooks up great. The skin also softens up so it makes it much easier to cut open I forgot about mashed cauliflower I love that. For pretty much everything other than a hamburger which we seldom eat I use ground chicken or turkey. I love lettuce wraps and you can buy the dry seasoning in packets at the grocery store, tastes just like the ones at PF Changs. I make it with ground chicken or turkey and mushrooms but have been now adding a bag of broccoli slaw. I stir fry the slaw first and then add it to the ground turkey when that is almost cooked then through the seasoning in. I am now at about 6o% slaw to 40% turkey and you can never tell that it is so full of the veggies. I was adding spinach to the regatta mix when I make my husband his lasagna but he started complaining so now I throw the slaw into the meat and so far he does not know, but I have to make sure not to overdo it, his idea of veggies is frozen peas which is not the best choice you can make in greens. Have any of you read the book that Jerry Seinfeld's wife wrote on all the substitutions she does, she had a name for them, perhaps it was puree's she had it where she added things like the spinach puree to brownies and so forth, I always thought that was an intriguing idea especially for those with kids LOL does anyone else have the problem on here with the percent signs I typed in 60% slaw above but it turns it into something weird

| I will have to try grinding the mushrooms up, LOL last night I tried to sneak two teaspoons of mashed cauliflower into my husband's HUGE plate of mash potatoes but he could tell and boy was he pissed, of course I denied it but he was adamant on how much I ruined them LOL he was so mad I swear I had to continue the lie, I told him all I did was use the same spoon to stir both dishes with. He wound up throwing it all out, I guess I will not be trying that again anytime soon
