| Most ridiculous food request you have heard of...Please share Special requests are commonplace nowadays. Egg whites only, hold the cheese, extra pickle The other day at a food truck meetup (which is healthy city right?) I hear a woman asking if they had a sample of something. The guy said no, we make everything fresh. She said, does it have oil? I don't want it to have oil. He said, all of our fries have some kind of flavored oil drizzled on top, in addition to the oil they are fried in. This woman was asking for french fries with no oil? How does she think fries are made? Even baked ones have some kind of oil. I thought it was hilarious. Heard any funny or crazy ones before?

| I used to work at a semi fast food place when I was a teenager. We had a man that would come in 2x a week and order a Mr. Fabulous burger and want triple veggies (which I think is yum) ~ and then wanted his double beef patties on the grill for NO LONGER than 10 seconds per side. The only reason he was agreeable to the 10 seconds was to melt the cheese ( I love steak tartar....but handling and freshness is paramount. Somehow I don't think the teens behind the counter at Mr. Fables were well equipped )

| It might not sound as bad but when I was working at a drive in as a teen this lady would come in every night for an extra large cup of soda. Lots of ice but only a splash of Coke.(like one second from the fountain) Maybe she filled it with rum? lol

| I've wanted to do that before but was too embarrassed. I end up just getting it normal and pouring out some. Lol

| I used to work at Subway and one lady would order a footlong BLT with no lettuce and no tomato and gobs and gobs of mayo. I mean, I like bacon too but the amount of mayonnaise covered the entire sandwich and was completely nauseating! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | OMG, my wife is the worst. It used to embarrass me, but now I just shrug and tip a little extra. First of all, she never orders anything exactly as it appears on the menu. Even at fast-food places. "I'll have a taco with meat and cheese only." I'll have a burger. Hold the onions and mayo and give me some margarine on the side. Oh, and put the lettuce on the side on an extra plate." Breakfast: "I'll have my eggs over-medium hard." WTF does that mean? Oh, she'll tell you. "The yolk can be soft, but the whites have to be hard. If there's any jiggling, I'll send it back." Believe me, she does. Fries: They HAVE to be extra crispy. She sends them back routinely because they're not crispy enough. Then she needs extra plates, extra napkins and, of course, Grey Poupon mustard. I don't even try to order for her because I'll inevitably screw it up.

I saw somthing like that at Subway once too! I mean I LOVE mayo, but this guy said extra mayo, and the lady put like an inch thick and he said more! It's so much mayo that you can't even eat it all it would just ooze out. I did also see on my Pickle Addict FB page someone posted a pic from Subway of all pickles, and I mean a LOT! I love pickles too but that is just gross.

| I used to hate eating out when I was on the full diet my dr recommended. No corn, no gluten, no melon, no nightshade of any kind, etc etc etc. I used to apologize profusely and write it down for them, and tip handsomely. Luckily, some places like Red Robin, are so great about food allergies.

| When my mom was a waitress, she'd have a guy stay late (after his friends had left) and order a roll and a cup of the house made, secret recipe honey mustard dressing.

| LOL You know what is so funny? Until a few years ago I used to order my food as it is on the menu. But now that everyone caters to the "have it your way" method I have been very picky on how I want or don't want my food prepared. Which I think is fair since we are paying for it. I have requested things to be substituted and sometimes the people get all flustered as to how to do it. It's only basic simple things. I have to talk to the manager because some workers just don't have common sense.

| my nephew is a picky eater, he orders a small peperoni pizza with no cheese and no sauce. My father in Law orders a BLT without Bread, lettuce, and no mayo, you guessed it, he just gets bacon and tomato on a plate. I am one of those people that would prefer to just go back into the kitchen and make the food because i am a mixer of more than one dish and like things my way, For instance I like a Ceasar greek salad combo, but no eggs, no olives, no onions, no feta, but I like the beets, the tomatoes, the parm cheese etc. I order wonton soup with a side of sizzling rice. I like a combination of wild rice and chicken lemon soup. Even my dressings are combos, right now I am mixing creamy ceaser with the oil and vin. greek dressing. I cook this way and my guests seem to l like it so it is only a problem when I go out.
