I left Jamaica when I was very young, we moved to England then came here to Canada. Funny though i prefer the cold to the heat...humidity over here is a killer! At least if i get cold i can put on a coat/sweater. We had temps of 103 last week waaaay too hot for my liking! It made me physically ill...heat stroke sort of. Sounds weird I know but then again I'm not really all that sane anyway. I lived in Florida for two years..again too hot, although a different kind of heat.
I will seriously have to come and visit you one of these days....no need to feel stupid, I forget my name on a good day! LOL!

You definitely can infuse your own. Just like with oils and wine. But I don't know how many flavors you would actually like to infuse with. Ginger, wasabi oil would be best. don't add anything sweet. You would just be making teriyaki sauce.lol

I'm so jealous of all you guys who have asian markets near you. The closest one is about 1 1/2 hours away from me so I don't get out there too much. I usually have to wait until a family member visits from New York so I can stock up on supplies. lol

I never heard of flavored soy sauces. I'm going to have to take a trip to the asian market and really walk around. I love spring rolls and am going to have to try making them. Thank for the recipe, Priscilla.

Also, like P said, Soy sauce is a strong flavor.....it would overpower many flavors. It would take an intense flavor profile to even be noticed

You could always order online. Depends on the weight of the product, if shipping would be affordable. With amazon, if you spend $50 you get free shipping on most things.

If they are frozen maybe they are already rehydrated. Sounds easy
