Savory or Sweet? What is your weakness?

My weakness is carbs as well. Crusty french baguette, udon noodles, sushi rice, chewy tortillas.... I think my problem with carbs is I pair them with naughty foods, so it's a double whammy. Let's see, crusty french baguette with loads of butter or pate. Udon with tempura. Sushi, well I don't eat fried or mayo'd sushi so I guess I'm safe there. Tortillas, don't even get me started!

Well, see, I love Coke but regular Coke is loaded with sugar so I can't drink it. But I want a drink with at least some sugar in it sometimes so add 2-3 teaspoons to a Diet Coke & you have the best of both worlds. I almost always have it as a dessert rather than a piece of cake or pie or cookies & usually 1 -3 times a week as I'm aware of the current thinking of how bad simple sugar is for us!

Cathy clued me in to a Chapati Maker she found on Amazon a while back. We both bought one and I haven't looked back! I add all sorts of yummy things to my home made Chapatis now.
(not all at once obviously, and some go IN the mix and some go on TOP of the chapatis )
garlic
basil
sundried tomato
dill
leftover chicken curry
taco meat
a yummy mixed seed concoction I purchased
pesto


It's better for you than bread (I use WW flour) and really has trace amounts of olive oil so better for you than tortillas. They taste pretty similar to Naan bread.

I guess that is similar to how I converted to DC from Coke. I would order it half and half until that tasted normal and then I gradually cut out the amount of real coke and went with all diet. There are still days when I'm feeling like I need a sugar buzz and will "spike" my DC with a bit of The Real Thing

When I'm in Mexico I have to drink at least a few "Baby Cokes' in the small glass bottles. Mexico still uses REAL SUGAR in their bottling process and for whatever reason, coke tastes better out of a glass bottle

Oh, I loved the old "real" Coke with the real sugar in real glass Coke bottles. We always ordered them when we used to go to Mexico all the time. Certain "airline" people still have some from time to time. I even drank Dr. Pepper some in 2010 or whenever it was they made it with real sugar to commemorate their anniversary and I am not a big fan of Dr. Pepper.

Oh savoury all the way....I could LIVE on cheese and nuts and pate and french bread and roast dinners and pizzas....actually the list is endless

Sweet stuff is ok to 'finish off' a meal, or a piece of cake with afternoon tea (how very British! ) but to tell the truth I wouldn't care if I never had chocolate again in my life.... Sally x

I like mostly savory. I have an occasional chocolate coverers cherry. Absolutely love pastas and pizza! Matter of fact, had a couple slices today!

We still have the Mexican coke here. Pretty much all the Mexican restaurants have it here. Even the Mexican markets sell it.

I almost told you to add a can of tomato sauce or paste but I thought for 1 cup of rice u would be okay.

Ricky tried it and liked it other than he said it needed tomato sauce..I keep grabbing a spoonful out of the cooker every time I go into the kitchen

This is a hard one for me. I LOVE sweets but I LOVE salty too. I guess I am a little on the strange side. The funny thing is if I eat sweet I want salty. And if I eat salty I want sweet. So just give me both at the same time!!
