LOATHE: Giada DeLaurentiis. It drives me crazy that she turns on her Italian accent when she feels like it. And has anyone seen a great chef so thin?!?!

LMAO many of us feel the same way. Way too skinny to really be eating what she cooks. However, the turning on and off the accent, I think we are ALL guilty of that. I do that with Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Spanish and French. At least I try. I don't say tore-till-a, I say tore-tee-ya (tortilla). Nee-gear-lee, not nih-jeer-ree (nigiri).

What about MasterChef? I actually think Christine (the blind chef) is doing amazingly well

I used to be a huge fan of Food Network. Not so much anymore.
Loved Emeriel "Bam" Lagasse - he was always burning stuff
Dislike Giada - always showing her boobs and toothy big smile
Semi homemade made me gag. Those tables, curtains, plates - all matchy match and food from cans. UGG!
Alton, Tyler, Bobbby Flay - entertaining
Guy and Ramsey - Huge turnoff!

I never watch Sandra Lee (semi-homemade), always change the channel when her show airs. I just happened to watch a few minutes yesterday. I couldn't believe it.....guess what....the woman doesn't even chop onions She purchased pre-chopped onions from her store's deli counter I'm sorry, if you can't chop an onion you've got no business in the kitchen. I mean, why bother trying..... just go out to eat!

Does anyone know how in the world that woman got her own show??? People that watch food network are into food and cooking. I can't imagine her show gets good ratings. Who would watch that?

I have wondered the very same thing myself - how did she ever get her own show? The only answer - there has to be a niche for her kind of food prep, I guess? I do have a sil that reminds me of Sandra - she never really cooks, it's all opening cans, frozen prepared meats, and an iceberg lettuce, carrots, and celery salad. It's always predictably bland. Never cared for the sil either, hmm... makes me wonder now, about the connection.

Who buys iceberg lettuce?!! It still amazes me that restaurants serve the iceberg wedge salad, and for like $8! There's a recipe for Sandra Lee

Cut iceberg head in wedges.
Open bottled bleu cheese dressing.
Top with Bacos "bacon" bits.
Serve immediately. Wait for oohs and ahhs.

BACOS???? MMmmmm....my sil would be so impressed! I had completely forgot about Bacos...Wow...now there's some fine cuisine! Wait a minute...Sandra Lee would never stoop to cutting iceberg lettuce wedges, not when she could buy it prepackaged....lol!
