| We have an Infrared turkey fryer. It's a fried turkey with none of the oil, but I couldn't bake anything in it... The Big Easy Oil-Less Gas Fryer-10101480 at The Home Depot

| I bought a NuWave...it broke after using it about 5 times....quit browning/cooking....after MUCH argueing and fighting, they DID send me another one...THAT one lasted about 8 months, then it too quit cooking....I just threw it in the garbage...are these things the same thing???... |

| The NuWave is what I'm looking at and I think it uses infrared, convection and conduction heating to cook. They say they don't use halogen bulbs so I guess infrared is its primary source of heating - but not sure. That is good to know about your troubles with them - I thought I had heard somewhere that about a 1/3 of them hardly last anytime. Makes me pause in my thinking about wanting one!
