Just put 'Spanish Chicken' in the oven for dinner...chicken breasts + red onions + peppers + tomatoes + olives....but (and this is reeeeally bad!) I'm going to serve it with fries because we love squashing them into the sauce  :D |
Pork ribs and potato salad! :) |
Chicken breast wrapped in bacon and stuffed with spinach, sour cream cheese and garlic. Cannellini beans mashed with chicken stock, lemon juice and topped with olive oil and fresh black pepper uh and broccoli! |
Sounds delish! I can t believe how much beef has gone up! Urgha Particularly pasture grazed free of supplements etc etc. The only reason I could afford the tenderloin as it was on sale! I will do a peppersteak with a creamy hot dressing - and cook a separate plain piece for the doggies - training treats you know. Mushrooms and asparagus - and I am torn between new potatoes boiled with parsley - or garlic bread....ummmm decisions decisions!:D |
okay lets price compare beef prices between our countries I just got on sale ground beef lean for $2.00 a pound what a steal. But now I have to switch to price per kg. Anywhere from $58 a kilo down to about $35 a kilo - a kilo = 2.2lbs This is pasture raised - free of hormones - etc - organically raised. oh and the country is Canada |
I just had salami, provolone, lettuce on Italian wedge sandwich, followed with a hand full of spiced gumdrops for dessert. |
Tonight it is mac and cheese with a salad and some dinner rolls We like pickled beets tomatoes and dill pickles with the meal. Good ole home comfort food Just right for a cold and rainey day here in old T.O. |
Chinese food take out dinner! Shrimp lo mein, general tsao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef and of course rice. Soup and tea are my favorite at the restraunt but surprise dinner (me not cook in ninety degree weather? Woo hoo!) takes the cake! |
It has been awhile since we posted ladies. Tonight I tried a new recipe and it is definitely a keeper. We had chicken thighs (so tender n moist) pan fried in butter with a creamy dill and caper sauce with mushrooms. First picked corn on the cob - new potatoes with parsley. dessert is strawberry shortcake! |

Our kitchen (and bathroom) are done and decorated! All we're waiting for now are the floorings yippee! So although I could cook in my kitchen, it was SUCH a to-do (organised chaos yuck!) that I couldn't really throw myself into it? God bless the bbq :D So I've just made de-boned roast chicken marinated in honey + mustard...garlicky roast potatoes...cauli cheese, peas + sweetcorn... It's actually very sunny and 'muggy' here - not the ideal conditions for having the oven on for hours - but I have because I CAN now!!!! :D xx |
A York mint. This is YORKie talk! |
Meat Loaf New mini potatoes with garlic parsley sauce. Snap peas - Sweet Corn. Yums |
Wish I had a York mint, maxdog! Sounds almost decadent to me right now. Been living so healthy it's ridiculous. Time for some goodies! ;) |

Yummy mints:) Well, good to know you ARE eating regularly but sorry you still don't have much of an appetite yet. Perhaps you have to hire the cute waiter plus chef to get you feeling more like food? But it will come, your poor GI system has been violated and needs to heal. Hope the pain and discomfort are reduced now and that you are feeling better and have a little more energy. Sorry to hijack the thread, but it was good to see Jeanie back here, eating again! As for me I had a lovely pretzel roll with tasty tomatoes, ham and cheese. Mundane but very good! |

Could sure use one of those Remington waiters bringing me one of their meals on a tray right now. :) And BTW, that pretzel roll with tomatoes, ham and cheese sounds really, really good right now. Could really go for one! |
Food Jeanie if you have an iPhone perhaps Siri will bring you a soft pretzel roll if you ask her? :) |
