There must be something wrong with me. I had a craving for Kraft spiral macaroni and cheese. Have not had it in decades! Ate the whole box myself. :p |

I settled for a Carmel macchiato and a cream cheesy toasted chonga bagel on my way to pick up the kids- a necessary treat after spending the work day snacking on slices of cucumber, tomato and carrots with hummus. Carbohydrates were calling! |

Now I've got to have a whole dinner of nothing but creamy mac and cheese and another of one of those Panera Bread sandwiches. We have a PB very near. |

Nice hot cup of green tea with a teaspoon of honey.... I'm unwinding. :) |

I'm still jealously thinking of Betty's pecan pie and milk. I still have nothing worth eating in this house - make that nothing I want to eat in this house - and I'm too lazy to go to the grocery store. But I can practically taste that moist and crunchy, sugary sweet pecan pie with that cold, frosty glass of milk Betty had yesterday. And, if it were a pie, she's likely got more left!!! So jealous right now. :p |

I made crepes for breakfast but had leftover batter so I cooked them up and set them aside for lunch thinking I would be clever and make savory crepes. We had a whole chicken that we had cooked for dinner a few nights ago that needed to picked and turned to broth so I got to that task and sautéed onions and garlic and chicken in butter. I realized to my dismay we were out of sour cream so for the 'sauce' I used plain yogurt instead (my boys love plain yogurt) mixed with fresh chopped cilantro ad green onions. I put the yogurt sauce and the chicken in the crepes and rolled them up and got the most horrible face of disgust out of my three year old that I have ever seen! And some baby cussing to boot... I know my allergies have got me a bit out of sorts and my throat is raw and my nose a bit runny but it didn't seem too bad to me.... |
