I said that I live in the Houston area, and we have several FG around here. But, I had only tasted their fries and did not care for them, too soggy.

Oh, no, I didn't think anything like that. My Whataburger just happens to be one of the few fast food places around here that does the fresh, tall burgers. You have to stretch your mouth to be able to take a whole bite and not just part of the burger, so I can't do it. My mouth doesn't open that wide. The lettuce is put on top and very crisp and the ridges here and there really hold that top bun way up.

They also do a mean chocolate malt, so thick you can't get it through the straw and very malty tasting. I think the owner must be a food lover and sees to it that his employees use fresh ingedients, don't under/over cook and know how to build a burger to taste and look good. I have to pass by that place going a lot of places and it takes all my will power not to turn in there once a week.

The Five Guys Burgers are everywhere here now. Not a fan! My husband only eats hamburgers (wonders why is arteries are blocked) and he did not like at all. We recently had our first In and Out Burger when we were in Arizona last month and it was good.

Ha! Have you all noticed all the Google adverts that appear all around this thread? The one with the bacon sticking out from under the bun is driving me to distraction!

Mine are Groupon ads with desserts, I don't care for sweets. and auto insurance.

In n Out is better, their buns are toasty. I don't care for the 1000 island dressing though. I prefer mayo and mustard instead. But In n Out does make a tall burger, and then somehow get one end of it into their PAPER (thank you) wrapper. How they get 4x4's in there I'll never know!

I'm not a burger fan...not real crazy about them or pizza but when I do want a burger...Five guys is it.

We have a five guys here in Central Texas. I'm not that big of a fan though and I love burgers.

And how are you not crazy about pizza??? There are SO many kinds to satisfy everybody! Even refined "high class" taste buds! haha. I love pizza.

Are Five Guys new to CA? They are all over the place here! I'm not a huge fan, but I'm not really a burger fan in general. Guess I didn't realize they are just now spreading west, but I just looked it up and they originated in VA, so it makes more sense to me now!
