I said that I live in the Houston area, and we have several FG around here. But, I had only tasted their fries and did not care for them, too soggy.

Oh, no, I didn't think anything like that. My Whataburger just happens to be one of the few fast food places around here that does the fresh, tall burgers. You have to stretch your mouth to be able to take a whole bite and not just part of the burger, so I can't do it. My mouth doesn't open that wide. The lettuce is put on top and very crisp and the ridges here and there really hold that top bun way up.
They also do a mean chocolate malt, so thick you can't get it through the straw and very malty tasting. I think the owner must be a food lover and sees to it that his employees use fresh ingedients, don't under/over cook and know how to build a burger to taste and look good. I have to pass by that place going a lot of places and it takes all my will power not to turn in there once a week.
