Their burgers are all double burgers, the little burgers are single patties. The littles are enough to fill me up and feel like going into a food coma. The first time I ate there I didn't know so I ate the double, oh man! Had enough calories for the rest of the week. You get any toppings for free too, so you can totally go overboard in that aspect also.

I have to tell you that you have never lived until you have had English Fish and Chips and walked down the street eating them.

One of my American friends came to visit us in UK and we took them out to try some. They just could not get over it and even more so, they could not believe we walked down the road eating our fish and chips.

If you try this at a seaside town then just be careful of the seagulls as they swoop down and take it right out of your mouth as you eat....grrrrrrrrr

FWIW, I never tasted their burger, but when dh bought a burger and fries and brought them home, I did sample the fries. BLECH! Soggy. They put the burger in the bag, and then filled up the bag the rest of the way with fries. Tons of fries. Tons of soggy fries. No thanks.

I'm pretty sure only Texas and southern Oklahoma have Whataburger. I don;t eat meat so I can only vouch for the salads but every person around me swears by their burgers. They ran Burger King out of town for about 10 years and they still can't hang here with Whataburger going strong.

If you want to take a bunch in those little paper cups then go right ahead. They don't have ketchup in packets unless you get it to go. Mustard on the other hand, take tons.

I live in Mesquite, near Dallas. The one I go to always has fresh buns, crisp lettuce and other vegs, thick meat, and no soggy buns or limp or old fries. They have better fast food than any others around here. It is a real treat to get a good burger and fries when everthing is fresh and just cooked - and tall. The burgers are tall like everything just put on it and not squashed all down.

You stated that you lived in Texas, and you didn't think that Texas had Five Guys yet.

I said that I live in the Houston area, and we have several FG around here. But, I had only tasted their fries and did not care for them, too soggy.

I think perhaps when I gave a bad review of FG fries you thought that I was dissing Whattaburger. LOL, no way. I'm a Texan. That would be blasphemy!
