I used enjoy cabernet awhile back. I liked an older Beringer and Robert Mondavi. Lately I prefer the whites to the reds.

| My all time favorite is Chateau St Michelle Riesling (avaiable in most stores and from a winery in Wa. state). Whites are my preference and I also like the Zinfindels. I'm also quite fond of Margarittas. p.s. Nana911 ha ha Boone's Apple Farm Wine-ahhh the good old days. We used to always joke about drinking Ripple but have never tried it.

| How much do you want to spend? I have had wine from $5 a bottle all the way up to over $1,000 (No, I did not buy it), and I have a hard time telling the difference. I like Merlot, and a Kenwood is a good brand, and will not cost you a car payment. COSTCO has a great wine section, and many food wines can be found for under $15 a Bottle. The key for health benefits is to drink a little, not the entire bottle. Here, less is more! |

You can find a lot of fine wines then. Red wines supposedly are heathier. Only person you have to impress is yourself! Now let's drink! | |

| I like the German wines, Auslese on up, although a Spatlese is good too. The good ones are hard to find now. I also don't like that the majority of stores I have seen carrying wines do not have them laid on their side, but standing upright. I know some people on another forum like something called "Two buck chuck", but I would be wary of a wine costing so little. I remember years ago going into the Class VI (liquor store) on base and buying two bottles of wine, one was labeled "Cheap Red Wine" and the other "Cheap White Wine". I bought them as a joke for a friend.

| I just saw some chocolate wine in the Exchange store at PAFB. It was $7.99 a bottle. I almost bought a bottle.

Port - super sweet??? What kind of port is that? I sometimes drink Sandeman's port, and it definitely isn't super sweet.

| The "two buck Chuck" is actually three bucks now. It is the Charles Shaw wine at Trader Joe's. It is not bad for an everyday wine. I like the Cabernet and the Australian Chardonnay. |

| No? i remembered it to be really sweet! Then again, I'm comparing to rum . Haven't had wine in a few years, but that was what I was told it was, and how I remember it tasting.
