Yeah lengua kinda has a fatty texture, which is part of why I like it, I like to eat the fat. :D Some people I know that are really picky about not having fat on their meat don't even eat clams bc they say it reminds them of fat. I totally disagree with that however.

Are you referring to kimchi? the korean pickled cabbage that the eat with everything? I don't like kimchi at all. I'm going to have to agree with that one. I do like the other korean veggie sides though, just not that one.

Yeah kimchi. The lengua is slimmy to me. But, I love clams and raw oysters.

LOL you hate slimy lengua but you love clams and raw oysters! :eek: Slimy is not a word I would use to describe lengua, not the lengua that I love in tacos anyway. I would say more chewy, soft, tender, definitely not slimy!

#1 I have no idea what 99% of what you guys are talking about! Haven't even heard of it!

#2 I am sooooo picky I wouldn't even think about trying the things you are talking about! (I don't even like meat...)


EDIT: Grrr my percent sign keeps getting messed up! I've seen this in other posts too, hmmmm.

I can't eat the tentacles either :eek: I only do rings and save the "good parts" for others :rolleyes:

So I went into Bravo......a local Latino/Jamaican store last week.

They sell LOTS or weird things but .....

I went on an uni quest this weekend, and I did not score. I am so sad. On christmas day I went to 99 ranch market (huge chinese market) and i saw they had uni on sale for 9.99 for a 50g pack. I said, no thank you, Matsuwa (japanese market) will have it on sale for 5.99 starting tomorrow for a 60g pack. So I go down there bright and early on the 26th and they had a sign that said no uni due to weather. I was so sad. Then there is a rumor that there is uni cream sauce for pasta, and I could not find it. I found salted cod roe pasta sauce (bought that), tuna mayo pasta sauce, spicy roe pasta sauce, salted plum pasta sauce, no uni cream pasta sauce. :( I may have to order from Catalina island and have them next day a few live ones in for me.
