I LOVE lengua! I always order it anywhere I see it, esp on taco trucks!!!

Reminds me of when I used to drink the dumpling dipping sauce when i was a kid after i finish off all my dumplings. I love sour and salty!

I marinated a pork loin in pickle juice earlier in the week. It was SO tender and yummy People throw away this delicious juice every day!

Oh I have! But Taiwanese style, we call them chitterlings. The are sliced thin and eaten with noodles in a thick broth with ginger and green onions and oyster sauce. Yum! Haven't had it in years. They are slightly chewy, like a good calimari. Does not smell at all!

Or we also deep fry them also sliced thin, and also dip in oyster sauce laced with ginger slivers.

Cantonese style, they cut them in big pieces, I don't like that as much. Too much chewing. But they batter it with the spicy salt and pepper mix, that is good though.

My MIL used to eat Prok Brains and eggs scrambled together . If I remember correctly the brains came in a can and were found on the canned meat isle.

I can't believe I missed this thread for so long! Noonie: The crab and lobster 'brains' you refered to I believe (at least in Chesapeake Bay crabs) is called the 'mustard' and can be yellow or green, and is the fat.

I used to eat raw oysters, until a parasite became popular in them. Fried oysters are good too. Soft crab sandwiches, Crab Fluff, Fried Hard Crab, Crab Imperial, Crab Dip. Orange Roughy, Crab-stuffed mushrooms, Fried Mushrooms. Catfish, Blackened Catfish, Japanese Octopus. Roe or caviar. Yum!
