| Well....glad you found that site for her to go to. BUT let me tell you...my best friends Shiz tzu DID HAVE AN EYE POP OUT!! From the groomer. It is something you do have to be aware and be careful about. The groomer pulled the topknot too tight and out popped the eye. Hanging there. So....yes, it can happen!! Not sure about the Lhapso breed tho.

| I have a little male Jap. Chin and yes his eye did pop out. Came home one day from running errands and it was hanging there. Rushed him to the vet and they did emergency surgery. Since it obviously hadn't been popped out for too long before I returned home it hadn't dried out - which makes putting it back in impossible. He is just fine these days and so far no more eyes popping out. Wish his eyes would have stayed put and I still have the $1,000 vet bill.

| I have heard of their eyes popping out if they bump them. They can be popped back in, but if left out too long, they will lose their eye. It is rare but can happen. This is true of all the bugged eyed type dogs...peks, llasos, shi-tzu's. .....Linda |

| My Chin only weighs 3 lbs. 9 oz. so it could have easily happened during playing with the other dogs. I don't know how it happened as I wasn't home, but it was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. I freaked!!!!! The eye wasn't damaged and it was still moist so the vet popped it back in, stitched his eye lids shut for a few weeks and voila' a new eyeball.
